One of the best holiday experiences our family has had was due this brilliant hotel and it's wonderful staff. Firstly, it is positioned right in the middle of everything and walking distance(with our 6 year old) to Monkey Forest, the markets, restaurants, massage places and shops. Our room had a beautiful view of the rice paddies and forest and a... More

If you are looking for an excellent location on Monkey Forest Road, this is a great hotel. However, the hotel seems old and tired. Most of the rooms look into a gorge and the hillside on the other side of the gorge. The rooms seem damp and dank. Due to it's close proximity to the gorge, there can be a... More

We are a young couple and stayed here after reading reviews on this hotel. We got a great rate by not booking and walking in off the street. The pool was the selling point for us (nice & big overlooking the 'jungle' at the back behind the hotel) , though the rooms were nice enough too. They are undergoing some... More

we stayed here 3 nights in october. The hotel is in a lovely location right in the middle of the ubud's main street. A stone's throw away from great cafe's and massage places. Our room was a deluxe and was located across from the pool. Highly recommend these you open the outside wooden door and look straight out to the... More

Have stayed at this hotel most trips to Ubud. It is located mid Monkey Forest Road so the location is excellent for walking everywhere. Usually go every two years and the staff remember each time and because it has been so many years we get the pleasure of an upgrade if available. Last time there they were building more rooms.... Liz and I went back to Ubud Village Hotel for Christmas 2011. This time we took our twenty-something son Christopher and daughter Cassie. Another great trip, with hotel driver Made taking us to the Elephant Park, Mount Batur, the Elephant Cave Temple, and many other places. Made made our 2011 trip very memorable. The hotel restaurant is a hidden gem,... More

The bedroom area was quite nice, but when we used the showers the water covered the floor and came into the living area, the english tv didnt work and part of the roof in the bathroom was missing and greenery was growing along the wall. Building works were next door and started early,I wouldnt stay there again More

Hotel was centrally located, a great place to base yourself while checking out the surrounds, quick walk up the road to the famous Ubud Markets (don’t forget your bartering skills) and down the road to the sacred monkey forest . Restaurant was average, but there’s are so many places to eat in Ubud your nearly overwhelmed for selection......The rooms were... More

Stayed 15-22 Nov 2011. I stayed at this hotel 10 years ago and not all that much has changed. It's in a good location within walking distance to everything. Beware, there is construction of new rooms at the front of the hotel that will be a 2nd floor accommodation. This didn't bother me as it was barricaded off but may... More

First impressions are very good - a very typical Balinese hotel, very beautiful and a warm welcome on arrival (and welcome drinks). Positives - comfortable bedrooms, gorgeous pool surrounded by palms and with views onto a lucious backdrop, interesting bathrooms and it is peaceful. Negatives - terrible breakfast. Although we had it included we ate out every morning. Certain members... More
