We stayed for 2 weeks in room 302 downstairs at the Bale Pingit (mid price range). The hotel is located just on the edge of Ubud's main centre, but easy walking distance to good restaurants (The Pond, Taco Casa & Pizza Bagus - all just around the corner - or within 15 minutes - Kafe, Lada Warung, Cafe Wayan or... We have stayed at the Bale Bunga room for 5 nights. This is the cheapest room, overall is very clean and comfortable. This place is cool and relax. Everyday we walk to the restaurant for our breakfast. The staff are extremely friendly. From the hotel you can walk to monkey forest, along the way there is many shop and cafe.... More

I stayed at a Bale Adat room and upon arrival, it literally took my breath away. Everything about the room was beautiful; the ever-changing view over the rice paddies, the architecture of the building, the furniture, the artwork, the bed, the bathroom and the FOOD! Their food (and drinks) are amazing and very well priced. I ordered my breakfast as... More

We (2 adults, 5 children) stayed at Green fields in Mid March '12 in the Bale sukat rooms. Green Fields in just off the main road in Ubud and very easy walk to lots of restaurants and shops. Our rooms were a simple traditional Balinese experience, they has carved wooden doors and ornate carved wooden shuttered windows with large glass... More

Stayed in a bale adat room (503 I think) upstairs with an amazing view of the rice fields. Loved the traditional decor and balcony. Bed was comfy and bathroom large with great shower pressure, so important! Did our laundry through the hotel and it was cheap. Pool to die for, great view and salt water. Deep too. Located not far... This was a fantastic hotel. We stayed in the second most expensive room. The only drawback is that you have to stay in the most expensive room to comfortably get more than two people in a room (we were three). Other than that, all was great. We didn't spend too much time at the hotel or at its amenities. We... More

We returned recently from a 3-week stay at Hotel Green Field in Ubud and feel like we have been cast out of paradise. We fell in love with this place and its staff. They were extremely friendly, helpful and always in good mood. Our room (including a large marble bathroom) was spacious and overlooking the beautiful rice fields. From the... More

This was by far the most "rustic" of the hotels we stayed at on our two-week tour of Thailand and Bali and it was fun to have a little different experience. With the beautiful pool and rooms looking directly onto the rice paddies, it really felt like we were part of nature (of course, with all the lizards, bugs and... More
