I only stayed here one night, but the room was clean and comfortable. Service was great. I had a room close to the restaurant which was convenient (insofar that it was raining during my visit), however there was an event that evening that was quite loud, including whistles blown by those directing traffic and parking vehicles right outside the room.... We spent over 4 nights at this hotel for Workshop purposes, we are very pleased to find out that most of the staff including the receptionist were very friendly and polite.. There was a case when my friend accidentally left her purse when we had to move to another room, surprisingly the bell boy was very honest and nice to return... More

This four star hotel is laid out on a large terraced hillside leading down to a river. The site has been well landscaped with pools, ponds and a swimming pool alongside other activities such as games and play areas. A steep road leads down through the hotel site, from the reception at the top, passing the restaurant, various sets of... More

We (family of 5 adults) stayed 1 night in Catleya, a 2-bedroom villa with a nice view of a forested hillside and the Progo River. Most guests come by car, and there is parking near each villa. The resort is on a steep slope, and it's uphill to the restaurant; for those who are not fit, it's best to get... More

This is a resort with a very pleasant difference; unlike most resorts in Asia which are effectively foreign enclaves due to the almost exclusive guest list of overseas visitors, the Hotel Puri Asri has an overwhelmingly Indonesian clientele, so it is possible to relax in comfort and still connect with the local people and culture. During my four night stay,... More

This is truly a resort. Not in the way you would find a resort such as Sandals in Jamaica, but it's a resort nonetheless. The grounds are very well maintained and the resort sits right on the edge of a river. Great for a family as there are things for the kids to do such as riding bikes, swimming, badmitton,... More

We spent a week on the Yogjakarta area, and we much preferred our stay at the Puri Asri, over the actual city of Yogja. The Hotel Puri Asri is comfortable and relaxing, with a beautiful location on the river that overlooks rice paddies and a volcanoe. It is very close to Boroubodor, and if you e-mail the hotel direct, you... More

We wanted to be at Borobudur for the big Buddhist festival of Waisak. But we waited too long to make reservations and everythin in the village was booked out. But we made a booking at Hotel Puri Asri, 20 km (12 mi.) away in Magelang. This was a lucky break because Puri Asri turned out to be a wonderful place... More
