Splendid Inn is located at the center of Malang, with the Balai Kota (City Hall) just opposite the road and the 'bird market' and nightlife within walking distance. The rooms, available in fan-cooled and air-conditioned variants, are not great but acceptable. There was a little pool within the premises (though I didn't use it). More

great old charming hotel. lots of charm and atmosphere. Location is great too. usual issues with water pressure (for indonesia), but there is hot water if you wait a few minutes. ;-) It's not a Hilton, and is thus priced accordingly. I dunno why people complain in other reviews. More
