Cottages are of a convenient size with very basic furniture and equipment. The location is idea as a departure point for the sunrise at Bromo volcano (departure 04h00 a.m.). ~ 3 h drive (220 km) away from Surabaya. The cottages are clean, the furniture is dated and the towels have been white a long time ago; do not expect any... More

the view and the location just nice but the room is so humid and bit dirty, might be from the mountain eruption in the mid year of 2011 but still the food just over priced and the service is poor to average. don't think that they have a heater in the room! its a frozen cold in the night so... More

We stayed one night at this hotel, and it was sufficient. The rooms are basics, with very little light from outside. The location is however convnient for the Bromo Volcano visit, and it is I think the main reason to go to this hotel. The price is therefore high co,pared to the level of service. The restaurant of the hotel... More

In comparrison with other hotels we stayed in during our tour of Java & Bali, this was dreadfull. Thankfully we were only there a short while to see the sunrise at Bromo, but there must be a better accommodation option?? Rooms weren't dirty, but were of a very poor standard, and old. We did not feel comfortable showering etc. it... More

A very simple hotel to stay for a night to visit the Bromo Volcano. Installations and rooms are old and simple, but clean. Very limited food. Staff very attentive. I just recommend this hotel to stay one night and keep going to the next place. More

If you want to visit Mount Bromo, you need to stay at this hotel, because there are no other hotels in the city! The hotel is very bad and is the worst hotel we have stayed at. This is probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in ! The rooms were dirty and run down, neither the television or telephone were working and the staff were unbelievably rude - a request for extra blankets was refused with no explanation. The hotel is undergoing major building work so after getting up at 3.30am to make sure we... More

Large hotel located on the edge of a small village - a base of Bromo. We lived in houses on the hillside. Rooms are big but modest and rather require renovation, smelling humidity. Restaurant average. On arrival the delicious ginger tea. There is a little shop where you can buy postcards, books, warm hats or rain coats. More

WE stayed there to see the sunrise at the volcano. It is the closet hotel to the summit which is the only reason it exisits. Lots of tour buses. The hotel is well past its prime. If cleaned up it would be great but since it has a captive (or should I say hostage) audienece they have let it run... More
