Please don't tell anyone about this Bed and Breakfast! It is a very special place that should only be used by very special people --- those that enjoy the best of service, excellent food, wonderful views, and knowledgable hosts. Maggie and Gordon have gone the extra mile to make sure that every guest is welcome and special. We won't be... More

We just returned from our third stay at Little Tree and would not consider staying anywhere else while in Taos. You really owe it to yourself to check this place out. Little Tree is just a few mile outside & above the city in a quiet residential area. The location is idyllic, and the owners bring their experience from the... More

The hosts have a background in the high end service area, and it shows. They willingly shared their knowledge of the history, restaurants and attractions in the area. The food was great, the rooms extremely clean, with lots of attention to detail. This is not listed as being in Taos, but it is a perfect base to visit the city,... More

My wife and I traveled to this darling B and B for a weekend of skiing in Taos, NM. We ended up only skiing one of the days because we didn't want to leave the wonderfully relaxing charm of Little Tree. It was cozy, comfortable, clean- all surrounded by quiet, mountains, gentle breezes, sunshine with extremely emrbacing, accepting and accommodating... More

We just returned from our second visit to Little Tree and wholeheartedly recommend this little slice of Heaven to anyone looking to spend a few days in Taos. Little Tree is centrally located between The Plaza and Taos Ski Valley so drives to either location are relatively short. Accommodations are first rate too. Some inns go way overboard with kitschy... Located only ten minutes from Taos center, this B&B is a mud adobe dwelling built in 1990 that could easily be featured in any number of upscale magazines. The Sangre de Christo Mountains can be seen to the east and the Rio Grande Valley to the west making the Little Tree property a true gem of a location. The four... More

Warm and friendly...you'll not find better hosts than the Johnstons! Their breakfasts are fanstastic, too.

We just returned from a week in the Spruce Room at Little Tree. Without doubt is was the best inn we could imagine. The views are spectacular, both dawn over the mountains and sunsets over the Rio Grande Gorge. Breakfasts were informally elegant, served in a garden courtyard buzzing with hummingbirds. Maggie and Gordon are helpful, informed about the area... More

I stayed at the Little Tree because I had read a review that said the hosts could cook gluten-free for those of us with celiac disease. Cook is an understatement. The breakfasts were awesome and prepared with great care. Every guest's dietary needs were met and we all ate very well on fine china, with all the ameneties one could... More

Little Tree B&B is one of the top bed & breakfasts in the Taos area. Amazing views of the mountains each time you go to the property. It's well worth it just for the views! The owners are former Ritz-Carlton employees so they know top notch service. They are great people, Maggie & Gordon Johnston, and give you gourmet breakfasts... More
