Crossing the rainbow bridge is a very comfortable and convenient place to stay when visiting Taroko gorge. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated with large western style bathroom ensuite. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming.Bikes are available for exploring the national park (the visitor centre is only about 15 minutes away by bike) and the owner Mr Teyra Yudaw... More

Can't say enough about this B&B. Booked for 2 nights and were lucky enough to stay an extra night. The rooms are comfortable, big, clean, with a beautiful bathroom and best of all they still look new, you feel like you're the first to stay. The owners are super friendly and helpful, Mr Teyra will pick you up from the... More

Our regret is we only stayed 1 night! Although this is a 6 yrs old minsu but the room and toilet is 4* hotel standard and still look very new. I like that we all had to take off our shoes before we go into the minsu. It is a very clean place. The lady owner and her helper (from... More

Just came back from a 17 day trip in Taiwan, and one of the places we visited was Taroko gorge. We stayed at this B&B for 2 nights. The owner, Mr Teyra Yudaw picked us up at Hsin Cheng train station and they provided free bicycles which helped us a lot! On the 3rd day we left for Hualien county... More

The best surprise of our trip in Taiwan: we spent there 2 nights in October 2012 with my husband and our 15 yo son. We found it through browsing the internet and we were not disappointed! Mr Teyra is a nice host who is passionate about Taroko place, its people an culture. He speaks English good enough to communicate. His... More

We spent 2 nights here with two young children and it was an excellent stay. Lovely garden, very clean and nicely decorated rooms, friendly hosts. The national park is minutes away by car so the B&B is excellent if you want a base from which to explore what the park has to offer. Convenience stores are about 10 minutes' drive... More

This is a super facility, located within sight of mountains and ocean. The hosts are delightful, the accommodations top-rate and surroundings quite relaxing. We found this via an internet search and were delighted with the choice. If you speak Chinese, Teyra is a wonderful source of oral folklore regarding his culture and the nearby natural surroundings. He even helped us... More

This B&B has comfortable beds, crisply clean sheet, modernly decorated, which meet 4 star hotel standard. There is traditional Chinese breakfast and western breakfast. Two dishes of cooked vegetables, egg, peanut, etc. Owners are a nice couple, Teyra was a high school principal and his wife was a teacher. They both took early retirement (you can retire after 25 years... More

Crossing the Rainbow was a lovely experience. I spent one night with my husband and my mother on our way from Taroko to Su-Hua Highway and our coastal drive down the East Coast. My husband and I shared a room on the second floor overlooking the garden and mountains (stunning), and my mother had a room on the second floor... More

As you'll see there is no email address on the main website for Crossing the Rainbow bridge, I sent a fax with my email address and received an email back and the process of booking the room went from there. Teyra collected us from Hsincheng train station and also arranged a lift for us back to the train station the... More

“Crossing the Rainbow Bridge” (muda hakaw utux) is the highest practice of Truku personal values. The tribal people refer to the “Rainbow Bridge” from hakaw (bridge) and utux (spirit). The rainbow is the totem symbol of the tribal spirits. In Truku's traditions, only those who observe the moral code of gaya will be eligible to cross the Rainbow Bridge and meet up with ancestors. The theme of the “Crossing the Rainbow Bridge” Bed and Breakfast is based on Truku culture.
