5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 May 2013 NEW

We stayed here during April when it was very quiet. We had room No.7 which was a detached bungalow. The room was not as big as some places we stayed but was absolutely fine. We had a nice terrace with a lovely view. Meals were all very nice, served to our table and the boxed breakfasts were definately the best... More

This is by far the best lodge for the real wildlife fans. The setting is great and the lodge is one with nature, the rooms are comfortable, the food is nice and the staff is as friendly is it can be. The main focus is on wildlife (you won’t miss the swimming pool) and first hand information about where to... More

It is all about location. The facility is modest, the meals are good but the location is right there. At night you can hear and sometimes see the animals around your room. The genet cats have been there since 1997 when I first went to this lodge. I go back every year and it is a must on my itinerary.

One of the few places that is within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and close to the migration area of the Wilderbeests, Zebra and other animals. Beautiful birds and animals come witihin a few feet of your cabin. The food is good with attentive service. Tea and coffee available at various times. The best thing about this hotel is the personal... More

Don't expect a very luxurious lodge. The rooms are adequate but by no means luxurious. But the lodge gave us more than some other lodges a real Safari feeling. The location is rather in the middle of nowhere in a dry and dusty area. It’s a few hours drive from the Ngorogoro. From the Ngorogoro - Serengeti road to the... More

We stayed 2 nights at this lodge on our 12 day safari. It is one of the better run/maintained lodges. The accommodation is not up-market but provides a comfortable lodging. Although there is only the one choice at lunch and dinner, the food is excellently if not brilliantly prepared and presented. It is silver service in quality and one would... More

Ndutu is well situated, especially over the Jan, Feb and March period, when millions of animals are in the area. The Lodge is not posh and the service is middle of the road ie. nothing special, but alright. Likewise the food is fine if you like the one 'choice' on offer each night. Yes, there is a veg offer, it... More

We spent two nights at the Ndutu Safari Lodge as part of our 10 day safari; we had read mixed reviews about the hotel so didn't know what to expect. We had a lovely stay at the lodge and will definitely return if we are lucky enough to return to Ndutu. The lodge is in a good location; a great... More

We stayed at Ndutu Safari Lodge for a couple of nights whilst on safari. The room was functional and fine for what we needed and the zebra that we came across munching the grass in front of our room was very welcome. The restaurant staff were very friendly and the food was good. The genets that visited the rafters of... More

One of the more "traditional" kinds of lodges. Not into "Safari Chic." Wonderful hosts, great staff, good food - and some of the best game viewing still to be found in Africa. Dik Dik, Zebra, water buffalo all come nearby as you sit by the bonfire. Not the fanciest showers, no spa facilities. It is Africa. And so it is... More
