We stayed here for three nights with our family (have three kids). Had adjoining rooms and the kids had a great time! Pool is not heated but when it is sunny out swimming in the afternoons was just fine for us. Breakfast is basic but had stuff my kids would eat as well as Thai food. Right across the street... More

Recently had the opportunity to stay at The Mantrini hotel, Chiang Rai. Upon check in was given a deluxe room which had a pool side view. During the night, the next door occupants were very noisy and extremely drunk. My girlfriend couldnt sleep. We called the front desk at 3am and again at 3.30am. I finally went to the front... More

We were disappointed by this hotel, not a boutique and off-the-beaten path. The rooms were dated and could be cleaner (especially bathroom). Everything about this hotel was average, top to bottom. Didn't use many amenities because the hotel was our "base camp" for other activities. Wouldn't recommend or return. Was pleasantly surprised to see local Thai art displayed in lobby... More

In a good location for transportation (just off the main road) but some distance from the city centre, it is near to some large out of town shopping centres, the most recent of which opened earlier this year. The room was excellent, as were the staff. Stayed there on election day in July 2011, and very few other guests: ate... More

The hotel is about 4km from the centre of town. However this wasn't a problem for us. The hotel is spacious with beautiful gardens and a large bathroom and bedroom. The hotel runs a free shuttle to the night bazaar each night which is handy but a Tuk tuk is easily organized for 80baht. The pool area is very relaxing... More

Guess my heading sums it nicely :) Good as stopover or if you're arriving on evening flight like us and just need a decent place to shower and rest. ROOM - Spacious for the price only about SGD 70 for basic room. Bed was alright, not the best quality mattress but sleep quality still fine. Big bathroom with separate standing... More

We had a horrible stay at the Mantirini. It is rated a high end hotel in Chaing Rai because there aren't many hotels. The location is 3-5 km away from the City Center depending on which roads you take. It is a long walk. They advertise free shuttle service to town but it only leaves once a day at 7pm... More

Stayed there with my wife for 2 nights, the overall experience was very good: clean, comfortable rooms with nicely appointed bathrooms. The staff were very helpful and the lunch/dinner options top notch in quality. Breakfast was a buffet which seriously emphasized asian breakfast favorites and fell a bit short of continental standards. The only drawback is that it's located about... More
