I've stayed here many, many times. The rooms are clean and comfortable. There was a fairly recent renovation to the rooms and they look more updated. This is literally on the AU Campus and is close to all things Alfred and the surrounding areas. The staff has alway been very friendly.

Our family stayed here for the college open house at Alfred. Very convenient, as it is located right on the Alfred campus. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and beds were very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again with no hestitation!

Warm and friendly place to stay. Very convenient for access to Alfred University. Easy parking and the surrounding grounds were beautiful during the fall and spring. Enjoyed the cucumber water served every evening and the continental breakfast was first class!

The Saxon Inn remains a great spot for overnight stays while at AU, Sharon and the entire staff are always friendly and willing to help make your stay most enjoyable. We stay here everytime we can, but being small they do fil up quickly so book in advance so you will not be disappointed.

The only thing missing in the room was a mini fridge and microwave. Other than that the room served it's purpose! It would be great if the Inn could add more rooms or another one because they get booked fast! Car service from the bus stop would be great! Although the walk is good after a long ride!
