This is my last stop of the trip in Tohoku. The hotel is more than 10 minutes’ walk to the JR Station, but only a few minutes’ walk to Senshu Park and the Akita Art Gallery. There is not a single café near the hotel for breakfast, so you’d better have breakfast in the hotel or walk to the JR Station. The hotel is a typical Daiwa Roynet, so no surprise or disappointment. Everything in the room is neat and clean. I could not book a bigger room which is always sold out, so I just had a double room. The room was big enough for me to open two medium-sized suitcases. I had to pack everything in after a ten days’ trip to return to Tokyo. I had no problem to do so in this room.

We use this hotel because of its good location and reasonable price. As it turned out, it did not disappoint. The breakfast was good, rooms were spacious and comfortable. Staff were professional and welcoming. It is no luxury hotel but it is good value for money.

Good business hotel, rooms slightly bigger than Japanese standard, nice free view. Room got everything, cables etc. Very clean, very quiet. You can check in at the reception or at the machine. On the groundfloor there's a restaurant, but there's tons of them directly in the neighbourhood, stroll the small alleys, there's great atmosphere. Coffee drip systeem, grab some at the lobby.

We were lucky to get in here, the hotels were full due to a conference and I had accidentally booked a hotel in Akita prefecture, not Akita city (be warned - check the map!). Fortunately, the lovely staff at the tourist info place got on the phone and managed to get a good priced room at this very comfortable hotel. Easy to get to by bus from the station. Bus stop right outside. Friendly staff, very little English spoken, but enough to get by.

Pros: On-site parking ¥500. Great facilities including bath salts. Well sized room, very happy given the price. Exceptionally clean, spotless throughout. Cons: Would ideally like to be closer to some of the local sites. Check-in system via the machines was confusing to a non Japanese speaker. The on-site parking is one that automatically stores your car, this makes it difficult to simply pop back to.

Its a relatively new hotel in Akita city in a quiet corner near downtown and 15 minutes walk from the station. Akita Airport Limousine stops at this hotel (40 min.) If you take taxi from JR Station takes around 5 minutes to get there. The rooms: good size keeping in mind the Japanese standars. Comfortable, with good desk to work, good natural light, air purifier, press for trousers, and small refrigerator. Bathrooms good in size (again keep in mind Japanese standars), with all amenities. Views from the room if you are in top floors are nice. Rooms are not smoking. The hotel provides a "set for ladies" that include: shower cap, moisturizer mask, body sponge, mild emanel remover, pad for pedicure, bath powder, even hair amenities ( I don't know if they will keep the same policy when you read this review). There is a kind of "izakaya" (Japanese tavern), where you can eat if you arrive late at night. There is also a nearby Lawson (a very small supermarket with basic things). Breakfast, mainly for Japanese taste. Small buffet that serves scramble egg, bread, sausages, rice, fish, vegetables, coffee, tea, orange juice, etc. Breakfast was included in our rate.
