I had arrived Cameron at 7am after taking a late night bus and had pre-booked a room. I was told i could get one at 9am. So after waiting 2 hours i asked if my room is ready. I was told that the room is being painted (to cover the mildew) and will be available only at noon !! Upon... More

My friend Vic and I arrived in the Cameron Highlands in the heat of the tourism season in Malaysia without any pre-scheduled accommodations. A rep was there at the bus stop who said there was space nearby at the Cameronian Inn. Our room was 55RM for the night and was essentially just a place for us to lay our heads... More

Stayed at Cameronian Inn for 2 nights in Feb. We were given 2 rooms that were pretty comfortable, cozy and most importantly clean. Owners were quite helpful in recommending a guide for the adventure tours who actually had in depth knowledge of the various species of flora and fauna found in mossy forest as well as on the trek to... The rooms are basic, don't expect too much. It got extremely noisy at times, because most of the rooms have a window that leads into the hallway. So you can hear everything that's said and a baby screaming for hours or the Chinese guy spitting in the shower (coughing it up from deep down) wasn't very enjoyable. Our room (or... More

Stayed at Cameronian Inn and it was a perfect place to stay in the Highlands. They offer both private rooms and small dorms. very basic accommodation. my room was clean, bed was a bit worn out but still comfortable and the place was cheap. Breakfast and Coffee in the morning is a nominal charge, but would have been nice if... More

We really enjoyed our stay at the Cameronian Inn mainly because it was so clean but also the hot showers after a full day's trekking were a godsend. You can help yourself to tea and coffee and just fill in a slip - be careful though as they tried to add on a few random cups when we paid, make... More

I did not find this place ideal for a solo female traveler. While the owner tried to be helpful at times (advising on jungle trails etc.) there were many more times where interacting with him and the other staff was very awkward or uncomfortable. Other guests expressed this to me as well. In general, the place was quiet, with nobody... More

This was the cleanest place we could find in Tanah Rata. The owner is very nice and can give a lot of advice for hiking. Breakfast is not included and a bit pricey for Malaysian standards (for Western standards still extremely cheap), but very good. There are a couple of areas outside with chairs where you can sit, read, smoke,... More
