I've stayed in Orient Star Lumut last week for a night during my business trip in SItiawan. I've stayed here about 5 years ago in 2007. I made a booking for 6 rooms back in October 2011 to attend a wedding. Enquired as to whether a deposit was required but was advised not necessary. Its merely adequate but what can I say? Its supposed to be 3 stars. Breakfast was totally avoidable and the coffee I only took one sip and that was it, I stood up and left. More

Pros: Good location. Within walking distance to the jetty to Pangkor Island and shops/eating places. Also near Lumut Naval Base. Cons: Rooms eventhough clean, can use some makeover. Furnitures are old and bedsheets have holes. The pillows were musty even after I requested for new pillowcases. Staffs at the front desk are not friendly. More

Nice place, away from the hassle city, but the rooms are all good, the cafe, swimming pool, clean.. but the beach is a little dirty nearer to the shore, overall is good. minutes walk away to the Pulau Pangkor Jetty. and also to the market that sells fish satays in a very cheap price. Could be a first class hotel but the rooms are very tired and in need of a good overhaul and cleanup, Lifts not so good and breakfast could cater for wider variety of people.
