My Malaysian friend recommended this hotel to me and he described it as a "jewel" :) Well, for me it is a nice hotel. the room is spacious and nicer than the picture I saw in the hotel's webpage. It has a big flat Tv on the wall. The toilet is quite big with the nice smell liquid soap :)... More

We liked our room; it was recently refurbished and has a new bathroom with a glass partition (but the telephone shower was not rested on to the wall because a screw was missing from the holder). Classified as 'heritage', our room was upstairs, with a balcony overlooking the swimming pool. We 'checked' the other rooms, the standard and superior, and... More

The hotel is nicely located and has an old English colonial mansion feel to it. Its quite nice and very reasonably priced. Stayed here in May with friends. I booked two superior rooms. The rooms are spacious enough and clean. The beds were a bit uncomfy as they were too hard. It took a while to figure out how to... More

We chose to stay at this hotel because of a friend's recommendation. The hotel is pretty old but has somehow managed to share its certain charm to visitors, though it still needs a lot of improvements, one of which is receptionists' friendliness. The best room would be on the second floor, pool wing. What i like most about this place is its... More

I booked2 rooms in this hotel via laterooms for 6nights although i've read the reviews before. At check in the receptionists insisted on paying the total amount without showing our rooms, hotel facilities and services. As we travelled with my 4 year-old daughter and my parents since 5am everybody was exaustied, we paid everything in advance by credit card. Then they... More

I booked in to the Standard room for 1 night and paid RM120. I had the room at the second floor. Rate was inclusive of breakfast. Aircond was cold and the bed was comfortable. However, there was only 1 pillow provided. But that is ok. The bathroom get flooded after shower. So, that's pretty annoying when you step in to... More

Booked our 1st night through Agoda & stayed an extra 2 nights. We paid a different price for each night because of the incompetency of the staff, at the end of our stay they tried to get us to pay more because ofr their mistake, which they had previously admitted to & agreed we didn't have to pay for..............I don't... We stayed at 1926 Heritage Hotel (also known at Hotel 1926) for two nights. Despite its lovely heritage facade, it was unfortunately one of the worst places we've ever stayed in. We booked a Superior Room at the promo price of 179Rm pn (20rm more than the standard room). According to the booking site we used, the room is normally... More

The hotel has good price but beware as it is not clean in the rooms. You will find bugs on the wall, dust in the corners and today we had a big cockroach. The hotel could have been something but with poor maintenance and bad cleaning you have a place that really is from 1926. The only good thing is... More

I choose this hotel due to the pick seasons and it is the only hotel that still available for last minute booking.I have reach Penang at 1am, I've book a superior triple room. The receptionist wasn't really friendly to say, but i don't expect much cause its already late. To be frank i am confident to stay here because it... More
