I did not stay here but I was wandering around on my own and very lost. I walked into this hotel to ask directions. The young lady at the desk was very helpful, ordered me a "Grab" gave me a nice chair to sit on and organised with the driver where to take me, so on those merits, I'm writing this review.

Hi Folks, to my 50k plus readers, its April 2018 and I chose this hotel for official convenience as the “Bangunan Persekutuan” government departments are nearby. Just walking distance of 5mins away. So after the official work just walk back to the hotel. The rooms are are quite large and amenities are ample. Lack a bottle of water. They have water heater in the bathroom. Soap dispenser. Nothing more. No wardrobe but they have the clothes hangers with a railing which you can conveniently hang your shirts and pants. Wifi is good and TV subscription is mediocre. The staff at the reception and helpful and cheerful. There is no room service. No worries, just walk out take a left....all the Penang style food are available if you just walk down then take another left head towards the junction of Jalan Zainal Abidin. Then left and right you will see shops and food court. Further down is street food all you can eat, just avoid the stalls where non originals are trying to cook Chinese food and mamak meals. That’s a given fact. Enjoy the char Koey Teow, Chee Cheong fun, Kuih Kak, char hor fun, law mee, clam meat with egg fry and etc....all there. For the vegetarian along the same street is a great choice of 2 vegetarian restaurants that give all the non veg menu in Vegetarian menu. Trust me, i am an ex-non veg so just use the google “vegetarian restaurant near me” and you will find “Lily’s Vegetarian Restaurant “. This restaurant deserves a separate review which I will do right after this review. So the hotel is really suitable for Business, leisure and even religious tour as several temples and churches are nearby besides the mousques. Not to forget good laundry service for a fee. 7 eleven is nearby to. The hotel is also well known for its spa, my friend found it decent and professional. Enjoy your stay folks.

Nothing to be proud. All item is bad. Better not stay. Save your money. Pick other hotel if you still can. One nightmare you cannot check in even almost 3 pm. And we stay 2 days. Tomorow when we come back to the hotel at 4 pm, the room is haven't make up yet. Old hotel, dirty, dark. Old amenities, old evertyhing. Everything unsuitable. Hospitality zero.

Affordable room rate BUT : The room seems renovated but not shower room and you can spot the yellow mark on the bed sheet and shower room. Car park available that's good for those who has their own transport. Anyway the housekeeping service is good but the shower room wasn't give me a pleasant experience.

The positive reviews that I have read prior stating were very misleading. Yes it's cheap but it's not worth your spend if you don't mind tolerating dirty and dusty rooms , and not forgetting the toilets/bathrooms, as a bonus we had ants in ours. I think the folks there don't really understand the simple concept of maintaining cleanliness. Worse place I have ever been although the management were good enough to refund my prepaid stays that I refused to continue with.

You really need to check your room before paying. We didn't and spent a night from hell. The rooms are dated and dirty, we even had ANTS. The manager was apologetic and we were quickly refunded. There are nicer rooms however you need to sight them and we were offered an upgrade. If it's all you can afford then take some cleaning gear.
