The doona was old and stained. The mattress is so hard its like sleeping on a hard floor. The breakfast is cold and the... More

Perfect hotel for backpackers! The location is perfect at the corner of roads of culinary and bars. Slippery senorita is just next door. Bars and simple restaurants with fair price are available around the corner. The hotel is old, but clean. Service is fast and efficient. Do not expect standard of 3 stars hotel. But overall it is a good... More

Just returned from Penang, booked by the travel agent for 2 nights, stayed at this hotel for one night. The hotel is in bad shape. The room had a musky damp smell, pillow cases had a yellow tinge, blanket had stains. Breakfast was pathetic, they couldn't even get Nasi Lemak right! If you can't get that right in Malaysia, don't... More

I just returned to KL after a trip to the northern states of Malaysia. Spent 1 night at this not so grand hotel. Here's a summary of what to expect : - rundown & poorly lit - carpets worn out - funny smell - dirty toilets - airconditioning was not functioning well ( promptly called reception & was told that... This is an old hotel furnished with dated furniture but is acceptably clean and well provided facilities for the lower hotel rates that comes along with it. Wifi in room but wobbly. Breakfast is very bad. Location is good just 5 mins walk to Komtar. Service is ok though not overwhelming. Staff respond to needs immediately. There is a swimming... More

I just came back from a trip with my extended family. We booked 7 rooms for 2 nights. The hotel is pretty rundown and in need of renovation. The carpet is worn out, stained and there is a unpleasant smell. Location is just ok for me, breakfast was so so. Pilliows were horrible, the windows frames were coated with a... More

Never expected anything great from this hotel other then its proximity to bus terminal and food markets. Nothin gr8 to write, it offers very basic amenities and nothing extra for comfort. The free breakfast was not that great and the Wi Fi was simply pathetic. While roaming around in Penang I saw so many backpackers hostels that I would never... More

This hotel needs a major renovation fast. It has a good location and I am sure it was good 20-30 years ago. It's a shame to see this hotel not maintained properly. First, they should take down all the photos in their website because it gives people too much expectation. Lobby is old and has lots of mosquitos, one receptionist... More
