We have checked in for 3 rooms on 3 & 4 Oct 20, room was dirty with hairs, stain on linen, dustbin provided without plastic bag, the lights too dim, the toilet drainage was bad with overflowing water and stuck, bath tub shower not working. Tissue box was only provided upon request!

Swimming pool was nice but my niece had slightly injured her feet due to the sharp mozac floor. The staff was helpful provided the first aid. But they need to improve the safety of pool.

Breakfast was so so, nothing special on this. But the in room service menu was not provided, and I was only given the menu just to snap pics as they did not have enough menu to provide the guest. As 5 star hotel standard, by right you SHOULD ensure the menu is provided in every guest rooms.

Overall, staff were polite, friendly and helpful. But the standard was below par.

Please improve. Tq

The hotel is located on a high hill in Putrajaya cause we can see the building from far. The guest parking is within walking distance between the hotel and parking. Rest assured, there is a buggy car going back and forth from the hotel entrance to the parking every 5-10minutes. The front desk lady was really nice and the check-in process was smooth. As my room is not ready, she guided us to the waiting area with the welcome drink. The room was spacious with a balcony. One of the light bulbs was spoiled and the room was super dark even though we have turned on all the lights in the room. The bathroom is the brightest. Overall, I'm satisfied with the hotel.

Room size adequate, well lit with natural light. Bathroom large, clean and well maintained.

The hotel is situated opposite a wonderful park, however the view is sadly somewhat obstructed by a canopy.

A walk in the park was breathtaking. One of the most beautiful parks in Malaysia.awesome views, well maintained and clean!

Given the beautiful natural environment, the hotel has yet to reach its best potential.

1) Fairly rating a 5 star hotel, the breakfast is not even at a 3 star standard. Cold food, horrible settings, taste was bad, coffee tasted like water with brown colouring. The worse breakfast I have ever had & this is coming from a 5 star rating hotel.
2) Aircon for both rooms were just bad, I think it's time they do a major overhaul. The excuse given was the weather was very hot hence aircon not working. But isn't that what's aircon is for, cool air during hot weather? I have been to hotter country with no issue with their hotel aircon. Very disappointing that the staffs just push the blame on the "weather".
3) On check out day we were asked to leave on the dot, asked for just 15-30mins extension as none of us had a good sleep due to faulty aircon. With zero consideration they said no.

The only pros was probably the concierge staff & FO ... I have nothing positive to say about the supervisor nor managers as they were just so unfriendly & zero hospitality skill. Very disappointing.

A difficult review really. I was going as part of a group, so this hotel wasn't my choice, so some of the things that I had difficulty might have been no issue if I chose where to stay.
The hotel has nothing convenient to it except a lovely garden area. No restaurants, local transport (unless you use Grab or Taxis), convenience stores, bars etc. It is quite isolated.
The staff are very nice and very helpful, they work hard to make you welcome. The rooms are large but are in need of maintenance. The rooms were clean but frequently had ant problems. Most things worked as they should and the hotel was under major renovations. I would like to see the place when the renovations are completed.
Breakfast was nice with a good variety of dishes to choose from. Dinner was very unimpressive. Lacks imagination and quality. The garlic bread had to be snapped in half like a hard biscuit and was cold. It was rare to see people eating at the restaurant at night. There is no service of alcohol anywhere in the hotel, so a wine with dinner is totally out of the question.
Overall very friendly place to stay, but other issues may be of consideration to you. I would say it was value for money, but not exactly best value for everyone.

The hotel looked NO maintenance for years. They should check their facilities prior to having guest check in the rooms. A lot of broken and damaged items. Room were dirty, toilet wasn't functioning well, the bedskirt was torn; and many more!

I don’t like to leave a bad review but if I could leave zero I would. This hotel was the by far the worst experience I’ve had in a long time. I travel often and usually stay in 2 and 3 stars nicer than this place even hostels. This place is in need of some serious renovations. The carpet all throughout is moldy and stained. My shower was filthy along with blood on the towel.

I checked in a bit early to attend the spa. Only to be told it’s closed (not mentioned on the website) ok I’ll go relax by the pool except No wifi.? Then I go to the swim up bar( it’s empty) no alcohol on the premises sold.

The buffet was ok at best. I returned to my room to see a rat run across the floor.

That was the end for me as I packed my bag and didn’t even sleep the night. I asked for a refund and got only half. Then had to pay for an additional transport to a new hotel that night.

This place gets two middle fingers up.

Pulse Grande is a former Shangri-La Hotel Putrajaya. Nicely located on the hill top near botanical garden overlooking the administrative capital of Malaysia. Could be a good option for a weekend stay or a business event.

Being a local resident in KL, I am ashamed to say this hotel standard is below 3 star hotel. I am very displeased with the level of professionalism shown by the hotel staff.
First of all, we requested late check-in, and upon arrival, we left our car for valet parking, but when being asked what's the price, the staff could not even tell me right on the spot. He rushed in to get the parking coupon in order to show us the price. Since it is RM10 for in house guest, I find it quite reasonable, seeing the parking space is way far away from the hotel lobby. It's very quiet at the open parking carpark, and I didn't see any security guards around there. RM10 to buy a sense of convenience is absolutely reasonable.
Front desk officer was unimpressive, level of language spoken was not professional, and didn't inform us on the hotel facilities and what was included in our package. We took a weekend rate package. Room is spacious for two, there is
The next morning, we went down for breakfast. The breakfast buffet ends at 10:30am, we reached there at 9:45am. Another surprise to me and my wife was that the food has finished and no one actually bother to refill them. We walked around with plates, and came back, literally, to the table with empty plates. And adding much to our surprise, our package did not include breakfast, and we were charged RM95 for two.
Another unpleasant surprise, our car key is damaged by the car jockey. Imagine!! Our mini cooper car key is destroyed! At the end of the day, we spoke to the manager Mr Saiful, and asked us to lodge an official complaint. I am still thinking if it is worth all my effort to make them better themselves. All I think of is that, I would never even bother to go there again, even if it is free.
I hope after reading all my mishaps, you will think twice before you pick this hotel as your choice to stay.

A rare example of horrendous customer service ruining an entire hotel stay. Paid $106 US for one night, pre-booked and, yes, pre-paid guaranteed "good buy" rate through Travelocity two weeks in advance. On arrival, could not check in -- reception claimed to have no record of pre-paid booking or even reservation under my name. After being asked for documentation (while closely supervised in hotel's biz center, I printed out confirmation e-mail -- twice for two different people), was challenged by night shift manager, who said they could find a room for me but I would have to pay for it, and asked for credit card. I refused. Staff did not appear to understand Web booking, or the concept of pre-paid booking. Hotel manager then appeared (and asked for another confirmation printout) and interrogated me as if I was trying to scam a free night -- demanded business card, wanted to know what kind of business I was on, wanted to know why Travelocity wasn't answering their phones. (Upon producing my business-class ticket on Malaysian Airlines -- yes, I was traveling on biz -- treatment improved. And no, I was not wearing ratty clothes, was clean-shaven, etc.) Manager said: "Please understand, we have to keep the riff-raff out." Finally, everyone just seemed to relent. This took more than 90 min. -- no apology, no attempt to compensate, no fruit basket, nada. This was a true Fawlty Towers experience, worst ever in the world, and I travel a lot. Hotel is remote and I paid in advance, otherwise I would have immediately gone elsewhere. To be fair: View incredible. Beautiful pool. Rooms nice, stylish even, if a little run-down. However: interior lobby stunk of raw sewage, then, later in the day, Glade sprayed over raw sewage. Piece de resistance: Woken by 1 a.m. phone call and concurrent knock on my door -- hotel staff saying they were ready to fix the problem with my toilet! (I never reported -- or had --any such problem...perhaps it was previous night's guest and they were just getting to it?) There are much better choices than this hotel in Putra Jaya -- go into KL and stay away from here.
