I really want to recommend this place--the view from our private room balcony was great, the staff was good to us, and it's only a 10-minute walk to the national park. But, like others have mentioned, there are a few issues. We stayed for three nights in private room #1 (90RM/night w bathroom and breakfast). The room was quirkily decorated... More

We were on a group of 12 person. The lodge was very basic. They're 3 bedroom room or 2 bedroom room. A very decent place for hikers to relax before climbing up the Mount Kinabalu the next day. The lodge situated near the Kinabalu Park. We found it really easy to access the Park. They also sell used gears for... More

This is a basic place to stay outside the park that is 1km away. If you are on a budget this is great and the views from our room amazing. The bathrooms are awful and had bed bugs in my bed, other than that if you are just wanting a place to sleep this is great for 50 MYR a... More

Going to D'Villa from Kota Kinabalu was not difficult. We took those Unser in Padang Merdeka where you pay RM15 per pax (you have to wait till the car is full though) and tell the driver where you want to stop. We stayed in a double bed room with ensuite bathroom. Room was big but not really well-maintained. There are... More

I originally tried to find accommodation within the Mount Kinabalu National Park but that proved tricky to book before I arrived. So I found D'villa Lodge and I'm so glad I stayed there. It's only a 5-10min walk up to the NP anyway. I stayed in a private room which was basic, but very spacious, clean with a private balcony... More

This place was much, much cheaper than the Sutera Sacturary Lodge HQ which is 10 mins walk away. Very basic dorm rooms with a hot shower. You can also leave your luggage here while you climb. The food was pretty good and inexpensive. The restaurant area is rustic and open air (covered) with amazing views. It's very basic and pretty... More

I stayed in dorm for 3 days 2 nights. I found that the staffs are friendly and helpful. The boss is nice and kind. For the view part, since I was stayed in dorm, so I couldn’t see any view from my room, thus I can only see the view from the restaurant. I found that some of the tourists... More

We did the Mt Kinabalu Climb and to avoid a long trip at the day of the climb, we had a rental car and just drove to the area at the day before, hoping to find a decent, convenient, reasonably priced accomodation close to the Park HQ. D'Villa lodge was exactly that - very close to the HQ, rather cheap... More

- 500m from Kinabalu Park HQ, 10 mins walk. - Large room. - I love the design of restuarant, and the food is absolutlely a surprise. - Breakfast starts from 6am, that means you can go to the Mt. Kinabalu early. - Reasonable price. - The toilet is wet. - Hot water last for 5 mins only. More
