A group of us were in Kota Kinabalu recently enroute to Layang Layang and had to stay a night before we caught an early morning connecting flight. Had no choice but to stay at a hotel near the airport as we were only staying over in KK for the night and our flight was at 6am the next morning. This was really not a pleasant experience. We needed a hotel to stay just for one night as we arrived in to Kota Kinabalu - decided to go for the cheap option. Terrible. I do not recommend anybody to stay in this lousy, run down hotel unless you are mad. There is no service, the breakfast is cold and most of all, the sheets have holes in them!!!!
