After staying at the Pacific Sutera for the first half of the week on business, we moved over to this hotel for the rest of our R&R. Although we experienced some inconveniences (listed below), my overall impression of this hotel is stellar. At check-in, our receptionist, Farrah, took excellent care of us with utmost hospitality. While checking us in, she... More

Great location by the waterfront, the shops are all walking distance, restaurants and markets straight across the road. The rooms were very clean, service was great, pool area was nice although occasionally smelt quite fishy. Buffet breakfast was very nice. Entertainment in the lounge was quite good, although it was the same night after night. We arranged for a early... More

Warm and friendly people. Rooms are beginning show their age, but are quite big. Food is great and the spread is quite extensive. Had a problem getting poached eggs for breakfast but it's a minor blemish. More

This is my >20th time staying at Kota Kinabalu Le Meridien, and this hotel has yet to disappoint in any aspect of its hospitality. Reception provides top quality welcoming service as checking in is always hassle-free. Up till the most recent stay, the reception staff will go at length to ensure my room of choice is provided...all this top class... More

Hello Glen thank you for providing some good feed-back. It is unfortunate that you experienced a situation where nobody was at the door to assist that is definitely not our standard and something which I am adressing with the team. The early check in can be a challenge especially whenever we are at full occupancy and that is quite common... More

I stayed in this hotel for three nights. At one point there was nobody at the main door entrance to assist the guest arriving and departing. Considering its reputation it should not be the case. Check-in around 12PM but end up having my room at around 2PM. This maybe due to availability, but some hotel offer guest with early check-in.... More

We stayed in the Meridien Hotel in Kota Kinabalu for 2 nights over a weekend. Definitely one of the best hotels I've stayed in in the city centre. It may not offer all the attractions that the resorts in KK have such as large swimming pool areas and beaches, but it's a very good central location, the service is excellent,... More

Thank you Heidi for your good feed-back and for highlighting that our afternoon cakes at the lounge can improve will definitely have a chat with the team to see how we get that rectified. It is great to know that our location and service compensated for the usual large grounds and swimming pool facilities you can find at a resort.... More

It's not the best, but it's also not the worst. I've been to such outstanding Le Meridien's in S.E. Asia that I was expecting a place just as spectacular, but what I got was more along the lines of an old Holiday Inn. The first night was a disaster. The walls are so thin that you can hear all of... Thank you for your loyalty to Le Meridien hotels and resorts I read from your review that you have been to some of our newest properties in the region and understand why you have found our classic decor less impressive when compared to the other sister hotels. I am glad we made up with our good location. Kindest regards, Alex More

This hotel is a typical classic style, 5 star hotel that may be due for some refurbishing but what it lacks in contemporary style it makes up for in service to guests and excellent value for money. Go Club if you can afford a little extra as it is definitely worth it - we were on the 12th floor. A... More

Merci for your review I love the description "je ne sais pas quoi" when trying to explain what is the reason for you to feel so comfortable with us. I guess you know why and you have described very well thank you so much. Your encouragement are so important for our team to continue to provide the level of service... More

Great location in city KK near waterfront, central markets and walking distance to many shopping malls and restaurants. Large hotel but with all the modern facilities and pool area fantastic, buffet breakfast was outstanding. Stayed for 3 nights with a 50% discount in a Deluxe seaview on level 9 which made it great value but also had unlimited views across... More

Amazing location, great rooms, friendly people and all in all a hotel that we will return to. We stayed within one of the club rooms on the top floor and it was great, for the extra money that you have to pay to gain access to the executive club, this is something that I would suggest that you do if...
