I stayed for a week and it was fantastic in so many ways - prime location on Gaya Street (also right where the Fri and Sat night market is, as well as the Sunday farmer's market); safe, clean and comfortable; and the staff are great: very prompt, professional, and friendly. I asked for no housekeeping and in some other places I've stayed at the staff is either not properly briefed or just forget and still come in. Here there was zero issue with that. Then whenever I needed anything and called the front desk, my call was answered immediately and whatever I requested was delivered shortly. Era was especially helpful when I was facing some issues and personally took it upon herself to really help me out, something I was extremely grateful for! The only thing is I found the lighting quite dim (difficult to do makeup, so had to use the flashlight on my phone, which isn't ideal). But everything else was ideal for my stay. Would recommend, and would stay again:)

Front desk staff were very friendly. Helped me arrange a day tour with a driver who speaks little English. The location is very convenient, right next to the night market and a variety of restaurants. The room was clean, although small. But it is of good value because I only paid $40 USD a night. No hot water in one evening, but the manager switched me to a different room.

Good services and nice staff. Great location. Very responsive to your needs. Rooms are good enough to feel relaxed and get good sleep. Mid-level asian hotel that showed consistently good service for the duration of my stay. 4 stars. In the USA this would be a 5 star hotel costing four times the price!

Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. The room they assigned to me had broken toilet. They refused to change that room unless I would cancel my booking.com reservation. Basically, they are pressuring customers into cancelling OTA bookings to avoid paying the commission. The room was small and ugly. They are dozens of better hotels around at similar price point.

Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights with no regret. We were given deluxe room with a view of Gaya Market on Sunday morning. The room is comfortable. If you didn't bring toiletries, they provide it inclusive of toothbrush, toothpaste and even a comb. The staff are very friendly.

In the off season (January), for the first night, we stayed at the Mandarin Hotel. Given that we travelled 24 hours, we were hoping that the Mandarin hotel would be a good hotel to spend the night. I can acknowledge the fact that it is, particularly as - we got a free upgrade - we had a spacious room - the room was fairly clean - decent size bathroom - VERY friendly hotel staff; we were greeted by a smile, both upon arrival and departure - good location Although the hotel does not offer breakfast, this is perfectly fine as there enough places to eat nearby. It is hard to mention any downsides. If I would have to think about one, - I am afraid that, if you have a room facing the Chinese street, it may be a bit noisy. We would stay here again!

This hotel is a very good place to stay in KK; it has an excellent location, very friendly staff, the room (we booked the family room to have more space) was excellent, clean, AC worked perfectly, bathroom seemed recently renovated and with fresh soft towels every day. We had a kettle with mugs, tea+coffee and a small fridge to store our food and keep the water chilled (we got 4 new bottles of drinking water free daily. Otherwise the hotel has a water-cleaning system applied so their tap water is also ok to drink!) The wifi worked fast during our stay. It´s a fact the Friday night market on the Gaya street is loud with live music until 11 pm but we enjoyed it very much... The hotel itself is on a side road with less traffic, so overall it was quieter than something else on the main road. Saturday/Sunday day market are literally lies around the hotel and the adjacent Gaya street, so the traffic is completely blocked away. Plenty of restaurants can be found for breakfast (or any time) within 1-5 minutes walk. Our favorite place was the Yee Fung Laksa to start the day with something hot and spicy :-D. But also many places offer western food too. All the sightseeing places, many shopping malls, the jetty to go to the islands are in walking distance. They have a very convenient airport transfer too(free of charge) when you check out. Thank you for the hospitality and we will definitely choose again this hotel when return to KK! Great value for the money and highly recommended!
