Needing a few days respite from the cities we came and relaxed for three glorious nights. We didn't go anywhere, visit anything, just sat around the pool. The in-house restaurant serves excellent food and the grounds are beautifully maintained. The room overlooked the pool with both fan and a/c. Being newish the bathroom was still clean and modern. Bed was... More

My boyfriend and I spend 3 nights here with no idea what to expect, well it is absolutely gorgeous. The room was beautiful with a four poster bed and nice en suite, the room was cleaned and aired everyday. The food is so good I think we tried everything on the menu, my favourite was the special laksa. Also the... More

Both myself and my girlfriend came to the conclusion that our stay at Village House was the highlight of our Borneo trip. The rooms were comfortable, and it was idylic relaxing on the loungers, hammocks, swings around the pool. The staff could not do enough, with organising trips out, shuttle buses to Kuching and general advice. Try the Taste of... More

What a stunning, small resort. The food is outstanding and we are so excited to be celebrating our daughters marriage there in August. A must for the traveller who wants to relax in luxury and not be bothered by children and large groups of tourists

After a local recommendation, we chose to stay here for a quiet few days at the end of our honeymoon, and couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. It is in a bit of an isolated location, but was perfect for what we wanted. There is a nice big pool, around which the rooms are located at first... More

This place is such a welcome haven after a day out in the hot sun/rainforest! The pool is amazing, gorgeous Borneo art and artefacts scattered everywhere and rooms are simple, clean and comfortable. The staff are lovely, helping us to arrange day trips to bako and the cultural village. Food is pretty good. The only issue was a couple of... More

In january we stayed 4 days at the village house and enjoyed it very much. The place is beautifully decorated with antique borneo objects. The garden around a good size pool is lush and exotic with comfortable places to relax.our rooms were spacious, well equipped, nice bathroom all comforts and spotlessly clean. this is actually the residence of Donald and Marina Tan, they have made their home into a shrine for those who wish to be in absolute solitude with memorabilia from their travels all over the place. Don and Marina are not just owners, they mingle with their guest, drinking a few beers whist chatting about their adventure throughout Asia. the... More

Oh to be so spoilt. This small beautiful resort only has about 12 rooms surounding the pool, tropical gardens and heaps of antiques. The staff are so pleasant and helpful, meals sensational, and so much to see and do. Thanx again - Peter M. Australia
