I did stay a few times at The Auberge in the last 15 years. A long walk on the beautifull beach and large dunes from Essaouira. A special place away from it all. But times have changed... Auberge Tangaro is situated about 5-6 kms from the town on the coast road south. It is a camping site with accommodation and a fine restaurant.
