More of a holiday camp than hotel as when I stayed with work colleagues we were all in separate types of room. Mine was fine if a little old-fashioned, the bathroom very dated like going back to the 70s. Good aspects, the grounds were immaculate, the pool is good and the trip to the village and the harbour trip excellent.... More

Stayed in the Madang Resort for business on the 19th and 20th of March 2012. I have to say that I was impressed! There is some new building work going on under the awesome restaurant. Buts that a minor thing, because when its finished it will look great. The rooms are comfortable, but more attention to detail and ensuring that... More

Located by the ocean, the resort is actually 2 resorts in one (Kalibobo & Madang Resort). We stayed in the Madang Resort side in a motel room that was spacious & clean by PNG standards & also included breakfast. There is a main pool, bar & restaurant & it was very pleasant on the verandah around sunset overlooking the ocean.... More

Thank you for taking itme to write a review - it is always helpful for us to see the hotel through the eyes of our valued guests. It is also important that our guests understand that for 12 months we ave been in construction mode and it has not always been easy to provide the level of service we would... More

I recently overnighted at the Madang Resort and would like to comment on the new Haus Kibung restaurant and in particular the meal which I had the pleasure of being served. I am employed by an airline and as such spend a lot of time overnighting and eating in the various establishments throughout PNG as well as our international destinations.... More

For PNG an excellent hotel, well maintained, comfortable and clean. Staff all very polite and helpful. Was taken to and from aiport. Room was spacious enough. Food was good and chef able to deal with particular foibles with no problem. Owner clearly cares for the staff and wants to maintain top standards. Internet was down when I was there which... More

I stayed here for 2 weeks in September 2011 for work and couldn't believe the disgusting service we received. We were staying in a large group (approx 80 people) and were treated as though we weren't as valuable as the "paying customers" (we were asked to sit in a desperate part of the restaurant from the "paying customers"). Dinner was... More

A belated response to the guest who posted this review. Firstly, we are always grateful for getting a feedback which are used to identify if our guests are sastisfied or not with the facilities and services we provide. In this case, we have not been able to identify the real cause of the guests complaints as during this time, we... More

I have travelled extensively around the South Pacific but never been to New Guinea, and as an adventurer and fortuantly able to please myself I decided to see what I was told to be the last frontier. A Little hesitant I convinced myself that I would like to see New guinea for the first time so with a little googling... More

This place was great. The service was very accommodating, grounds were beautiful, rooms were beautiful, and food was excellent! I had a wonderful time in Madang and highly recommend others to go here as well! Special thanks to Titus for making our trip extra pleasant. Also hats off to the entire dining staff. The Giri Giri among the other dishes... More

I was pleased to hear the guest enjoyed the 'Girigiri' which has become the most popular choice on our menu. We are planning a new menu to coincide with the re-opening of the famous Haus Win restaurant and its temporary relocation to the new Function Room at the end of August. The kitchenette in some of the rooms at Kalibobo... More

The Madang Resort - including the contiguous Kalibobo Village - is an excellent choice in Madang. The grounds of the combined resort complex are extensive and immaculately maintained. They have a waterfront location with excellent views across the narrow channel to Kranket Island. Rooms in Kalibobo Village are spacious and comfortable - all with their own balconies/verandas. Staff are friendly... More

We thank the guest for the review. We apologise for any inconvenience during the reconstruction and construction of the new building to accommodate a new Function Room as well as the total reconstruction of the famous Haus Win. This has resulted in some delays along with the Resort operating at full capacity. All the room compendiums are being updated and... More

Our recent 8 days spent @ The Madang Resort were something special. Our meals were outstanding & generous. Our rooms comfortable, quiet & with a view to Madang harbour. What more could you want.
