This is a nice hotel , it is very well located. The service was excellent nad the staff unique. The only negative comment is that the price was very high, maybe this was the most expensive hotel in Peru we stayed, but I do not regret to have chosen it. rooms were good, big enugh, clean and bathroom clean and... Best suited for independent self sufficient travelers who can roll with minor inconveniences. Staff was polite and friendly. Central location. Clean with nice mattress and linens. Working fireplace in cozy lobby. Electric oil filled portable radiators provided in-room heat. Perhaps those heaters were a contributing factor to the hotel's electrical circuit breaker tripping off. Lights were restored within a few... More

The rooms are very dated and not all that clean. The pillows and bedding has a lot to be desired. Worst of all the staff while willing to help struggle to speak English and are often incompetent. E.g. we asked about the laundry service and were told just bring it down in the morning. We did and were told no... More

Initially, the Plaza Mayor shows quite well. They have a nice looking lobby and the staff are friendly...as long as you don't ask for anything. We had two nights booked, one and then a second with a couple of days in between while we went to the Islands. The first night was okay, a little dissapointing for the price. The... More

This hotel is very conveniently located for Puno. The rooms are fine - there's a heater and warm blankets, and everything is clean. It's pretty standard for a three-star hotel, but they do have free internet in the lobby, which is great. And an elevator, which is helpful when you are carrying lots of luggage and not used to the... More

I stayed here as part of a Tucan Tour. It was a great stop either side of our trip to Lake Titicaca. The hotel's in a great location for the centre. The rooms are very clean and the hotel has all necessary facilities including a far better than average breakfast. The staff went out of their way to be extremely... More

The location of this hotel was very good but after reading about it in lonely planet and the reviews, we must have got an unrenovated room as I wouldn't have rated the hotel as highly as other have done. This was the most expensive hotel at $70/night in our 9 nights in Peru, I wouldn't have paid that much but... More

Situated almost in the corner of the main square, this hotel has an excellent location. The rooms are clean, but a little over furnished (two queen size beds in a standard sized room...) which makes them feel very small. However they have a huge bathroom. Hot water in the shower early in the morning seems to be on request only,... More

This Hotel was an excellent stop before and after our trip to Isla de Sol. It is centrally located clean and secure. The hotel staff were excellent and even assisted in helping us secure other accomodations and travel to Arequipa and L. Titicaca. The rooms are clean, a little dated, but loved the King size bed. Breakfasts were OK, could... More

I booked this hotel after reading reviews on TripAdvisor. I was torn between this one and the Qelquetani and chose this one due to its proximity to the main square. The first night we were given a room (202) that faced the street, which was a little noisy during the day, but we slept well that night. The next day,... More
