Maybe not the best hotel in town, but if you want a good standard combined with handy location, this is the one to go for. The hotel is located at the very center of the city. In fact, it is very busy all the time. But there is a very basic restaurant, and internet is very expensive there. A business centre turned out to be closed at 2200, though front desk staff did everything for me. However, the room is very comfortable, calm and warm.

First, compare to other Sakhalin hotels this hotel is not so bad. What I didn't like in this hotel: dark rooms(illumination is not enough), no free Wi-Fi(1 hour of Internet costs about 10$), waiters in the restaurant are lazy and inattentive.

It's really the only hotel worth your while. It is a very clean hotel. It is centrally located in the city.

Plaza is very central to all shops and most office buildings located in town. The hotel itself is fairly new and the front desk are very pleasant and helpful. Just back from a 3 week spell based out of this hotel. Probably the best location of the hotels, close to the centre, with a reasonable spread of restaurents and bars nearby. Average hotel but good considering location. Rooms are small but neat. The beds are hard as rocks. Fitness center is tiny. Food was bland at best. The pizza and the hamburger was the best.

I understand that the hotel was recently renamed Pacific Plaza. It is located in the centre of town with views out onto the mountains.
