The Dostoevsky Hotel was a very good hotel in my opinon, the staff was very friendly indeed. It is situated in the middle of the city and close to cafeterias and shops. Breakfast was really good, a big range of different things to eat.

hotel dostoevskys best feature is the location. it is very good located not far from nevsky prospect. its clean. and cheap to be in st.petersburg. could be better, but could have been worse. electrisity went out, along with the elevators...took 30 min to get it back. not very good service

It's undeniably cheap but if you have any other option stay elsewhere. Rooms are tiny and hot with a view of a shopping mall and no widows or air conditioning. I wouldn't feed the breakfast to a dog, I would recommend going to the reasonably priced 24 hour supermarket in the shopping mall downstairs and buy yourself some supplies. If... More

The location is excellent but the hotel itself is terrible: all rooms face the inner yard which is a city shopping mall. No sun, no air, tiny old rooms, no breakfast... You can not open a window and feel like your are on cheap sea cruise but you are not! Never reccomend!
