The Hotel Neva was a revelation. You are never filled with confidence when a sign at the front desk greets you that you will have to run the hot water tap for ten minutes prior to your shower. NB: This visit was in 2002. This is a reasonably priced hotel, within walking distance of many of the city's attractions. The buffet breakfast provided was reasonable too, with items that ran out replenished quickly. However, the rooms are the worst I have ever seen.
