Nice breakfast buffet with fresh buns and a Nestlé coffee/hot cocoa machine to die for! Rooms are adequate and clean with a mini fridge, electric kettle for instant coffee and tea. New York pizza next door is great. The German restaurant across the street is a must!!! Look for the hotel cat and give him a pet for me!!!

Sitting rather majestically overlooking the Yenisei River in the heart of Krasnoyarsk, Siberia's third biggest city, the fact that this hotel bears the town's name already gives a few clues as to what awaits the visitor inside. It is a hotel quite typical of the bumpy social, political and economic transformation that Russia has been experiencing the past 2 decades....

The hotel is indeed located in the town center and in an excellent location. There are plenty of restaurants and nightlife in the area as well (if you are there on a Monday night, check out the "biele noch" - "White Nights" - evening at the dance club around the corner; or try the Sterling; make sure to where dress...

The hotel is situated in the town centre, overlooking a large pedestrianised square. It has all mod cons (but free wi-fi in the reception area only). The hotel is located in the city centre with many good restaurants within walking distance. I always felt very safe at and around the hotel.
We stayed in a double room, which was similar to a dorm room - two small, single beds, a refridgerator, and a little desk. The bathroom had a nice shower.
There was a nice selection...

The location is excellent, just in front of Krasnoyarsk's famous fontains. For an old Soviet style hotel, it was quite ok. personally I did not like it.
Breakfast was poor, and not satisfactory.
Staff is trying to cope with the English, not always succesfuly.

Krasnoyarsk is certainly not a tourist place but the hotel is nicely decorated with nice spacy rooms and furthermore in the center and very close to the river with many activities in summer. Can recommend this hotel.

The building could be patched is as the main hotel in so many Russian cities, but inside it's actually been outfitted better than most. You're right on a central square overlooking the Yenisey - though depending on your business needs, central is a bit hard to place in Krasnoyarsk as it's a long city along the banks of the river...
