Anton and Dasha run this small B&B. Its like a home. It was clean and warm, and felt very easy to be in. Very conveniently located 10 minutes walk from the train station, its a 15 minute walk to the heart of town, or catch a tram. The hostel has the conveniences of home, and probably should be given that... More

I stayed here for 3 nights during my Trans Mongolian journey from Beijing. After being on the train for a few days it was lovely to arrive in a clean hostel, with a modern bathroom. Getting to have a shower and do my washing was great. Free internet and wi fi. Visa registration. 2 tram stops to the city (just... More

Great little hostel, close to the rail station for Trans siberian travellers. Very clean, brilliant bathroom and shower (very welcome after the train), comfy beds and helpful english speaking operators/ owners who are very keen to be even better. Great advice and tips for travellers available at the desk. Also close to local buses to transfer to Lake Baikal bus.... More

This hostel is so close to the railway and relatively close to the centre of town. We arrived early morning, dumped our bags and headed to Lake Baikal, an absolute must-see if you have time. The hostel itself is family run and cosy. We booked the private room, which was pretty basic but relaxing after a long train trip. Great... More

We arrived late from a trip to Lake Baikal and had a warm welcome. We spent only one night here. We stayed in a double room. Despite the lack of windows, the heating that was on (very normal in Russian buildings) and the noise of the street, we slept very well and long. The bathroom was enormous. There was a... More

We stayed in a private room for 3 nights at the end of June, the room was a good size with 2 single beds and a sofa which looked like it folded out into a sofa bed. The only downside was the lack of curtains and that it was quite noisy because of the traffic outside. The location is good... More

Very friendly, helpful staff. Great breakfast and all day tea, coffee and biscuits. Double room was better than dorm beds. Organised an excellent 3 day hike along Lake Baikal through their company 'Baikal Adventure.' Nothing was too much trouble. Would recommend for anyone wanting to get more from their trip to Irkutsk.
