This hotel is a bit far away from the Sapporo station but it is close to the snow festival sites which makes it a great choice if you want to observe the illumination at night of the ice and snow sculptures. Rooms are clean and buffet breakfast is nice. They also offer free coffee to guests at certain time durations

Not much to add to this title. You can easily reach this hotel from the airport if you take one of the buses, like number 65, and it will drop you off about 200 m from the hotel. It's clean, well maintained. Rooms are small but this is Japan. Breakfast is quite good, whether you want a Japanese meal or a Western meal. The only downside - but this is Japan - is that you can't check in before 3 PM: if you arrive earlier you have to wait to get your room!

We stayed at the Route Inn for three nights in November 2017. This hotel is very conveniently located two blocks from the Susukino metro stop. But like others have noted, it is also near many night clubs and at night there are a lot of men hanging around in front of the hotel soliciting business for these places. Facilities from room to onsen are very clean and well maintained. The hotel lobby is on the 5th floor. There are no services or reception desk on the ground floor of the building but there are plenty of signs to direct you up the elevator to the 5th floor. Rooms are on floors 6 through 14. As others have noted, the onsen is also on the 5th floor so you will be making your way from room to onsen in your yukata through the lobby. I did not particularly mind this but others may have a problem with it. The location is very centrally located in the Susukino area and an easy walking distance to the metro station. Our room included breakfast, which was a standard Japanese buffet breakfast. The breakfast room is also spacious with a TV. The hotel has coin operated washing machines available but they are located inside the onsen. I would stay at this hotel again and would recommend it for anyone looking for a reasonably priced, conveniently located, and comfortable hotel. Some of the highlights for us included: - There is a Lawson’s convenience store located in the building on street level. It is connected to the building lobby so you can access it without going into the street. You can find just about anything you may need at a Lawson’s including delicious hot food. - The onsen is large and very well maintained. I would say that the onsen is probably large enough to accommodate 5-8 adults comfortably with enough space between each person. However, there is no outdoor onsen but there is a window next to the bath looking out to some plants. Things to note: - The washing machine/dryer are located inside the onsen. I assume there are machines in both the men’s and women’s onsen. This is important since access to the machines will be the same as that for the onsen. - The room does not have air conditioning but the windows do open. We were there in November which can be quite cold so leaving the window open was fine and cooled down the room immediately and substantially. Of course, you may have a problem with the street noise below. - The hotel is located in a lively part of town and there are loudspeakers on the streets playing music or advertisements all day and night. This could be a problem for some, especially if you leave your windows open. Overall a great value and a comfortable hotel.

I would love to recommend this 3-star budget hotel to those who might visit sapporo for their trip to japan. Excellent location in the center of shopping malls, several restaurants & famous sapporo landmarks. The hotel was very clean from the lobby up to the rooms. Staff were particularly friendly, helpful & professional. Furthermore, with some amenities like free breakfast, free coffee & free public bath, i couldn't ask for more.

Stayed here for 3 nights last December. It was another of the dependable route inn hotels which we often use in Japan - accessible, clean and reasonably priced. The room was not big but we could see the ferris wheel from our room window. Taking a good hot soak in the public bath after a long winter walk was a bliss.

Hotel is located a few minutes' walk to Susukino subway which is 2 stations away from JR Sapporo station. Area is relatively quiet day time. Close to many restaurants including Ramen Alley. Area is very lively when dusk hits! Also to note there are some adult bars in this area but no disturbances at all, very safe! Booked a comfort single room, can easily fit two average sized adults. Room is clean and quiet. The hot bath (onsen) in the hotel is a bonus. Ladies onsen entry is accessible only with a card and PIN. Lawson is just at the ground floor if you need a quick snack. Will recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a reasonably priced, clean and convenient hotel.

Good location, about 5 min walk to Susukino subway. Surround with shopping center & eateries. Room in decent size; clean & neat. Bed is comfortable. Basic necessities are included. Wifi is good. View from our room is beautiful. 24hr convenience chain store within the same building. Breakfast choice is adequate. I enjoy the public hot bath after a day of walking. We stay for 3 night.

Lobby not on the ground floor. All hotel in Sapporo price was high during spring season on Saturday. Most of the hotel's public hot bath in city area exclude in the hotel rate, but this hotel included the hot bath & breakfast. Hot bath is a bonus, breakfast was average. Wear Yukata to Public hot bath need to pass thought lobby was weird. Staff, room size, wifi, cleanliness, comfortable of the bed everything was good, our room able to see the Susukino ferry wheel. We only stay 1 night here, move to another 4 star hotel for 3 nights within walking distance to Sapporo station, as we get better offer within our budget. Thanks for the vote if you found this helpful :D
