This hotel is located very close to Kyoto train station. This made for easy transfers to and from the hotel on their shuttle bus when using the subway system. The rooms are beautiful and well appointed. Ms. Kato, the concierge, was fluent in English and so helpful with helping us to get around town. The breakfast buffet was scrumptious and... More

My wife & I spent an extended weekend here last week & were very pleased. We particularly liked the hotel's regular shuttle service between the hotel & the JR Kyoto Station (every 15 minutes from 7.30 am to 9 pm). The hotel is only a 10-minute stroll from the JR station but with luggage to drag around, the shuttle was... More

We stayed here for four nights at the end of a tour of Japan. This hotel is a good, bog-standard international-style (are we in Kyoto or Dallas?) hotel. We asked for a room change as our first room was a bit faded. The second room had been re-decorated, but was generally of the same standard and the aircon still didn't... More

We stayed for 4 nights and found this hotel to be very accommodating. The hotel was situated very close to Kyoto Station and the room was very comfortable. The staff was wonderful and took a lot of pride in themselves and their jobs. What we didn't like was that there was a charge to use the swimming pool. This left... More

Stayed for three nights as base during a longer tour. Easy to find places to eat at the stations or the malls. As others have said it was a little bit worn but very clean and everything worked well. Breakfasts can be a bit crowded but they respond very quickly opening another location. As always in Japan the staff were... More

There is a deal in Japan that if you travel with a Shinkansen (the bullet train) round trip, you can opt for a discounted hotel room price. This of course depends on the length of your stay. This option is most ideal for someone who will be staying for one or two nights. I recently took such a trip. I... More

Rooms are big, but a bit worn. THe bathroom also looks old and worn though everything is very clean. We had 3 people staying in 1 room, and the rooms were big (by Japanese standards) and there was room for us to move around even after fitting in the 3rd bed and our luggages. THe hotel is conveniently located in... More

We had a three bed room with our son. Plenty of space by Japanese standards. It was facing the road which is quite busy, but the room was perfectly insulated. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom well appointed, with a deluxe heated toilet seat and spray fixture. Breakfast is buffet style or Japanese style with plenty of choice. The... More

Perfect location and price. But book early in peak season, because this hotel sells out quickly. This is within walking distance of Kyoto's main railway station, but is one of the few hotels that also provides a shuttle bus (departs from Shikansen exit on south side of station). The main sites of Kyoto must be accessed by bus, but the... More
