Our family spent 4 night in a nice modern and spacious family room with four beds. The bathroom was small but clean and OK, with the usual amenities for a 4* hotel. The hotel staff was outstanding and the service provided by the many nice ladies at the lobby was absolutely exceptional. This large hotel is close to the main... More

The first impression was that this is really nice hotel. The rooms where quite nice with "Japanese" styled doors, which opened sideways and it had an Japanese vibes or something. The location was great near the railway station although no convenient store near the hotel. Big supermarket just other side of the railways, but I did not go in there.... More

We booked via a third party website and when we arrived the booking was never made. We had to pay a much higher rate, which if we had known we would have booked somewhere else better value. The staff were very friendly and helpful about it and can't fault them there but this was just a very disappointing start to... More

Stayed here for 3 days in a standard double. Lobby was nicely decorated as well as hallways to rooms. The rooms, however, were rather dated. Just a couple of electrical outlets, bed was not the best, bathroom was small & just ok. I know JP is expensive so I guess it was a good deal. Best part was the free... More

The room size is about as good as you can get for the proce. It is near the Kyoto Train Station which is both a transportation center and a commerce center with dozens of good restaurants and shops. The staff's English was adequate. With the windows open, you can hear a lot of the activity in this congested area. More

The location was five minutes walk from Kyoto Station. Free shuttle bus- constantly running in advertised times was also handy. Note: The bus leaves from the opposite side of Kyoto station to the main bus interchange more or less outside MacDonalds. Use the Hachijo West station entrance. It is a VERY good idea to download a map of Kyoto Station... More

I came to Kyoto without reservations during cherry blossom season so it was peak travel season. I wanted to stay at a ryokan (traditional Japanese Inn) but all were booked. I learned about this hotel from the Tourist Center at Kyoto station and they arranged by room for a less expensive price than if I had walked in myself. I... More

This hotel is pretty expensive but does provide solid service. It is close to the main train / bus station in Kyoto, but it is not that close to any relevant sites. The staff speaks very little English except for one woman at the front desk named Kato who speaks very well. I did not get the breakfast but it... More

We arrived at the hotel on a cold and rainy day in March but were greeted warmly with a speedy check-in. As we were to meet friends staying at the same hotel, our request for allocation of a room close to each other was perfectly met. When we left the hotel for sightseeing we were even provided free umbrellas. The... More

We stayed in room 868, 4 beds for a family of four, beds ok, more on the soft side. Two were beds, one was sofa bed, last one was fold up cot. Room overlooked railroad tracks, quiet when windows were closed. Bathroom was brand new, seemed newly redone, bright and cheerful, just a bit small. We enjoyed the stayed, room... More
