We had booked a semi-double room and couldn't change the online booking to reflect two people who would be staying in the room When we arrived, we were told the room was for one person! The biggest plus was the location - it takes less than 5 minutes to walk to the subway station (I think it was Gojo station?) and one stop to Kyoto station. There are a few cafes around the area including McDonalds. Room was a little crammed but had all the amenities there. No major complaints. More

Was in Kyoto for peak weekend of leaf change (red leaves) and was lucky to get this room. Having said that, hotel rooms small, dated, stained and stale, terrible mattress.
