We stayed here 5 nights in the middle of sakura. The hotel is on a major street which makes it easy to find and it was surprisingly quiet. This is the perfect hotel to position yourself in Kyoto. It's walking distance to the main road that takes you into the Gion district (Only about a 15 minute walk). There is also a main subway station across the road for easy access to many of the temples Kyoto has to offer. There's lots of great eateries in this area... More

Hotel was beautiful, very comfortable, staff knew decent English and was very helpful. Close to many sights and good restaurants. Make sure to check out wedding chapel near lobby. What is really special is the onsen spa on the top floor. It has massage service, several baths, steam and gorgeous views of Kyoto from an outside bath. More
