Carpe Diem is a beautiful traditional ryokan (traditional Japanese guesthouse) with a lovely and well-kept garden at its center. It proposes very nice traditional Japanese rooms with tatami floor and futon beds. A great address to escape from the Osaka city frenzy.

I've been wanting to write a review about this place since getting back from Japan. We loved it. It was quiet, the garden was beautiful. The owner was lovely, friendly and helpful. The rooms were a good size, futons were comfortable and warm. The only downside would be the location - a little far out.
