Of all the hotesl we have experienced in Japan, we would say this is the least satisfactory. The only upside to this hotel is that it is attached to the train station, hence apart from location wise, there is really nothing to shout about. The lobby area is all nice, clean pretty and grand, but not the rooms. The room... More

We stayed here for two nights in April, as a side trip from Tokyo. The location is very convenient for day trips to Kyoto, as Osaka station has several trains running between Osaka and Kyoto through the day (Express or local, but express is well worth the small extra fee). From Tokyo, we had taken the shinkansen to Shin-Osaka, and... More

Stayed here for 3 nights in June. Had a Placid Double on the Granvia Floor. The hotel is very nice and is located actually IN the Osaka station! TIP: its in the "South Gate Building." Look for those signs when trying to locate it. The hotel occupied the uppermost 8 or so floors of the building. Our room was on... More

It the second time that I'm stopping here for one night before traveling to the company; quite convenient from the airport, I'm suggesting to get the bus, it's starting from airport and in 60 min. Park at 500 mt from the hotel.the rooms are quite small, but standard in Japan; free wifi and some restaurant, but in few minute walk... More

Stayed here one night before leaving from Osaka station. Great location with all the facilities of a large japanese railway station. Nice room on a Granvia floor. Slightly offhand staff on leaving bags and later check in was unusual for Japan but private checkout was good.

Pros: English-speaking front desk staff; very helpful assistance by bellboy trainee Travel to everywhere else is easy Cons: for the price we paid, the miniature size room is a rip-off. Worst, they gave us a smoking room (although we repeatedly request for a non-smoking one) at the 21st floor. I'm an occasional smoker & somehow used to the smell of... More

After 30 minutes train ride from Kyoto,it was very easy to go there. For short breaks, this hotel is ideal. Also airport shuttles are just across the hotel. We booked 27 floor. It was chic, modern and quiet. There was a lounge with a small library(only japanese magazines and books). There was a good caffee machine for caffee and tea and fresh juices.

Located at a major transport hub and handy to all those modes of transport; including the Shinkansen. The room facilities were of a high standard. The hotel itself has excellent facilities but complimentary to that are the myriad eating places in and around the station. The adjacent area is a multi-level and at times confusing 'ant-colony' so get a map... More

The Granvia is a perfect base if you plan to make the most of a Japan Rail pass! It is a haven right in the middle of a very busy station. After reading reviews on Trip Advisor we chose to book a room on the executive floor & pleased that we made that choice. The room was beautifully decorated and... More
