TOTAL IGNORANCE AND INCOMPETENCE – On the 4th night of our stay, someone tried to enter our room at approximately 4 AM. When confronted, the man – who was dressed only in his underwear – stated that he was trying to see if his room card key would open other rooms. My wife went down to the front desk to report this and returned with the night manager as well as the front doorman. By this time the suspect had returned to his room ( 1522 ). We told the manager what had happened and that we wanted the police to be called since this was obviously a situation which warranted their intervention ( running around hallways in his underwear and attempting to enter other rooms ). They refused. They even refused to knock on his door to question him. All they said was that they would review the security camera tapes and get back to us. THEY NEVER DID. FYI, an inspection of the camera which should have recorded this incident was found to be surrounded on both sides by fire sprinklers which would have blocked the view. We also question whether the cameras were even operable since nothing was ever said to us. The next morning at approximately 8:45 AM when we went down for breakfast we questioned the front desk and they said the incident was recorded on the computer system and that someone would contact us. When asked why he wasn’t questioned she replied that guests are not contacted by the hotel before 9 AM. NO ONE EVER CONTACTED US. The suspect left the hotel that morning without anything being done by management. On 2 March we did some sightseeing with local friends and told them about this incident. On our return that evening one of them had a private talk with the night manager ( in Malay ). The manager then stated in front of all 4 of us that he would have a talk with the hotel manager on 3 March ( next day ) and that the hotel manager would then contact us. AGAIN NOTHING EVER HAPPENED AND WE WERE NEVER CONTACTED BY ANYONE. This proved to us that the hotel management wanted to cover up this incident, let the suspect leave scot free and act as though nothing ever happened. In short, management LIED and did not want to get involved, did not listen to our request for police intervention, let the suspect go, and showed total disrespect toward us as well as no courtesy. This shows total ignorance and incompetence on the part of management to properly handle serious situations. This requires your immediate attention, action and response. Had my wife not booked this hotel in order to meet the requirements of her titanium membership, we would have departed immediately. To this day, management has not had the professionalism nor courtesy to contact us even though as late as 12 March my wife was told the manageer would call her on the 13th. Other Issues Lounge – on first few nights, the staff had to be asked to clean the glass table tops which were stained by food and drink from previous customers. On the first night we ordered a pizza and a bottle of Prosecco. We waited an hour for the pizza. The Prosecco was brought out and not presented for inspection. The server then left a corkscrew on the table inferring that we had to open the bottle with it. The Prosecco was warm, inferring that it was sitting on a shelf and not refrigerated. We had to get a full bucket of ice to try to chill it down. Also, no champagne flutes were used. We got wine glasses. Later discovered that the pizza was a commercially made , frozen pizza which was being passed off as made in-house. Lounge has 3 cubicles for fining or drinking. Many times people used it as their private office with their laptops and did not order food or drinks. Not appreciated by other guests since lounge is very small. Menu has items to order, but several times when ordering we were told it was not available. Pool – very small with only 6 lounge chairs to use. No other place to sit. Overrun with kids. Adults have little chance to relax and enjoy themselves. Rooms – every room door slams shut and can be heard up and down the corridor. Very annoying when you are trying to sleep and someone comes to their room late at night or leave very early in the morning. Rooms have wood floors. When someone in the room above yours moves furniture, walks around in heels or decides to do in place jogging is very annoying. Windows have not been cleaned in a very long time. Ours were filthy at the top 6-8 inches and the remainder showed fingerprints, handprints and other smudges when windows fogged up. When glasses or cups are used hotels send them back to the kitchen for proper cleaning and sanitizing. Not here. Housekeeping has been instructed to wash them in the bathroom and put them back on the counter. Plastic spoons which should be disposed of after use also get the same treatment. Not replaced. Would you use a spoon that has been in many different mouths? No closet to store clothes if you are there for an extended period ( like us ). TV picture lost every time it rains and you get message stating so. No toiletries provided. Dining – Breakfast is 99% Asian fare. When available, pancakes are cold and you have to ask for syrup. Sometimes when you place an egg order, the person behind the counter hands you a premade item that is already cold. Hotel is supposed to be international, but it appears to cater to Muslims since no pork dishes are offered. This should be made known on their website. Dinner was not available at all. The only redeeming factor in all of this was the staff. They were warm and courteous and willing to assist you whenever you needed it – except management.

Location is very good, near the monorail with easy access to KLCC. The staff are very nice, specifically Nan, Ali, and Nathaniel. The AC lounge serves western food all day eg. pizza, lasagna, spaghetti and it tastes good and is reasonably priced. The pool area is lovely (although some more seating would be good). Our room was comfortable, large, and clean. Breakfast has a good variety of choice including western food and is replenished quickly. I enjoyed the fresh scrambled egg. Disliked · The hotels main let down is breakfast. There is a good variety but it is cold. Sausages, beans, noodles, rice, curry... everything is cold every day. It is an easy thing to rectify. Room was hot in the night even with A/C on.

Check in and out were hassle free, all went smoothly. Love how the ambience gave a luxurious feel to me & my family as guests there. Our first time but definitely will return there again. The hotel was superbly clean, all over the hotel. Room was spacious, bed/pillow/sofa were comfortable. Staffs were friendly too. Looking forward to my future stays there. Thanks! Special mention to Saleha whom attended to my calls twice with so much patience and politeness. Also to Kenneth, Jomari + another small framed guy with spectacles.. their friendliness & politeness were awesome. Not forgetting Asif at the restaurant, always attentive & on his foot. Even went extra miles to prepare us newly cook. Breakfast option was limited though foods were tasty. Hotel was difficult to reach prior to my stay there; kept calling but nobody answered. Texting thru whatsapp and booking.com didn't work too.

stayed here for an emergency visit from the north of malaysia. . Booked a twin bed room with a sofa bed. Nice, clean, modern room with extra comfort bedding. From big body towel to small facial towel available😬. Hot water was satisfying. Gym and swimming pool also up to date, classy and readito be used. The breakfirst spread is fullfilling especially the nasi lemak rice was delicious! well done chef.. its just the anchovies was a bit hard.. i know sometime its tricky to fry anchovies just well to make it crispy and crunchy.. thank you also to receptionist who were friendly and made the process smooth and welcoming( Kenny and Clerk). Definitely will come back.

Two days into a four day stay and I know I will never come back. I just got thrown out from their swimming pool at 7.20 AM (very unfriendly by the way "get out and leave", whereas they said at checkin that swimming pool is open from 7am to 7pm. They than called our room and woke up my night-person wife to tell them it was a mistake, the pool opens at 8. Our first night was already dismal, we were put in room 1207 where you hear loud train braking the whole night, and when I asked for a room change they obliged immediately, it seems the problem is known. Then the hotel has no restaurant and room service as advertised, after 8PM you are on your own and the hotel is not exactly in a prime location... They asked me to prepay instead of guaranteeing our stay so if I move to another hotel for the last two days I might have to forfeit 600 Malaysian Ringgits, but maybe there is some humanity left with their management... Hope dies last.

Hotel doesn’t properly record stay with Marriott - booked for 5 nights only credited with 4 nights. Also their operator on phone doesn’t answer long waits. Location of property is not convenient. Breakfast selection never changes. The top floor rooms whilst renovated aren’t as modern as those on the even newer renovated floors.

AC Hotel is close to MRT which is very good. The hotel is a budget hotel with good price/quality. Marriott recognition low but with one non alcoholic drink and one tapa (which is a joke :). If you look for a good tourist hotel to a cheap price and you do not expect Martiott gifts, like lounge, upgrades … than is a good hotel. The best is the staff, very helpful and friendly, real customer oriented. Breakfast on the lower end of acceptable choices. All in all for small budget a very good choice

Staying 3 nights August 16-19, 2023 in AC Hotel Kuala Lumpur with my partner. We are celebrating our 18th Anniversary after we travelled from Manila. Pluses: 1. Location is great. It's practically in front of Titiwangsa station LRT MRT MRL, with a direct MRT-KLIA through Putrajaya that is taking about an hour. 2. They kindly sent a small cake to celebrate our Anniversry. Upgraded room since I am Marriott Gold member. 3. They provided lavender pouch for sleeping, nice touch! 4. Breakfast has good selections, but kinda boring because they have the same food everyday. A change of nasi lemak color (yellow, purple, etc) would be a nice touch, if I can recommend. Roti canai live station is great. 5. Decent swimming pool. I had my early evening swims daily. Minuses: 1. Only one receptionist when I arrived at 1pm and she had to take care another frantic guest asking about lending him cash for grab etc. The receptionist seems kinda new. She took 5 different POS credit card and my Marriott Bevy Amex Credit Card could not go through all of them. She even asked me to maybe use another credit card... but it's Marriott flagship credit card so I refused. Took a while before she was able to charge it. She did not tell us about breakfast time, did not ask whether I wanted the hotel receipt (she only gave the credit card receipt). 2. Room card key sometimes worked sometimes not in 2 (out of 4) of the elevators. I told the receptionist and she only said sorry without asking whether I'd like to change the key or explain anything about the elevators. 3. Really difficult contacting operator. When I arrived, I tried to call but nobody ever answered. After 3x, I gave up. The about 15 minutes later, operator called, so I asked for extra towel, water, shaver, and drinking water. It never came!!! I had to ask the cleaner after about 2 hours and then he just gave them to us directly. Extra water came later on that day. 4. They were having construction above my room and it was so loud!!! They never mentioned this at the website when I booked. I wanted to change room but nobody ever pick up the operator. Overall it's a good stay, improvement is needed with guest services. And need to let guests know there is construction in the website!!!
