Tried to post a review at the time but wasn't able to finalise submission. But I really wanted to post a review because of the fantastic experience we had with Sofitel Manila staff. We booked a Luxury Club Room and were situated on the 10th floor. I had stayed at the Sofitel previously (I think it was 4 years ago) and remember the hotel having dated decor and the staff at the time whilst always professional and courteous, the stay was not anything outstanding. There was a beach though which was very pretty for hotel guests. The beach has gone and now the hotels Manila Bay view is interrupted by massive construction. However, the staff and the Sofitel have made up for the lost view, in abundance! Brian at Concierge, Lux and Sally in Club Millesime were so incredibly helpful and professional. Actually, everyone we encountered were, but at the time it was this trio that hubby and I remembered by name months after having initially stayed. Im sure if we said nothing to staff, we would have been treated very professionally, having seen how Lux, Brian, Sally and others interact with guests. We are a little more chatty and we felt match in energy. Yes the hotel decor in some areas is dated. But the staff maintain it very well from what we saw. The grounds were spotless, if there was a lull in guest activity, staff were busy prepping their area. No one was intrusive or dismissive. They were just friendly and very efficient. From housekeeping, Spirals and the executive club to the grounds staff, porters and greeters, if we said hello or had a question, Sofitel Manila staff were engaging and always pointed us in the right direction. By the time we realised how much the staff were making our short 4 night trip enjoyable, it was time to leave. Before arriving, I mentioned to my husband that he probably wont enjoy it (he is a 2 star, backpacking kind of guy who never saw the point of spend over $80pn on a motel/hotel). Once he saw how attentive everyone was, how helpful Brian and Lux were, how engaging and professional Sally and her staff are, hubby was converted. Don't get me wrong, he still is reluctant to stay in a 4 or 5 star, but he did happily go back with me for 7 days over Christmas 3 months later because of how comfortable our experience was with the Sofitel team and how easy it was to enjoy the grounds itself! Thank you for such a lovely stay (and for getting hubby to increase our accommodation budget in at least ONE hotel lol)

Recently stayed at the Sofitel Manila and enjoyed it immensely. Upgraded to a suite due to accor status and it was huge and spacious. Breakfast was buffet with plenty of variety and be early on weekends. Eating venues are very busy Fri, Sat,Sun, so book a table if eating. Accor Club lounge runs from 2 til 7pm and your well looked after by Friliene and Anthony. Snaps Sports Bar is another must visit. Really nice food, well priced drinks and great service by Paul, JP and the others. Pool and surrounds are beautiful. Top of the list is the 6 star Filipino customer service. The best ever. A wonderful place to stay and Accor discounts apply for dining and drinks.

The lobby, property and all of the amenities are gorgeous. All of the employees are very kind and there's nothing but generous hospitality. Breakfast at the Spiral was delicious with a French omelette station, Eastern Indian food, Filipino, fruit, cereal, breads, ice cream, etc. Lots to choose from and well worth the cost. We're here for our honeymoon and we asked if the hotel would do something nice for us. A man named Jessie who's part of the hotel staff took the time to not only bring us cake, but crafted towels in the shape of swans forming a heart. He also gave us a two teddy bears, real pink roses for the Mrs, there's new pillow cases with Mr and Mrs on them and a hand written card for us. I will say this is more than either of us expected and Jessie and the hotel went above and beyond there. Not to mention he did a great job cleaning the room for us while we were out. The only complaint I have is about the room and the dire need of renovations. The room itself doesn't match the rest of the luxury that you feel from the rest of the hotel. It's all clean but lacking in some amenities and decor. Brown is not a very appealing color for the carpet or many of the trim. I'm also baffled there's a window that allows you to see inside of the bathroom. Sure there's blinds but what's the point? The TV are 2016 Sony Bravia which is fine but there's no way to get them connected to the Internet. This means you cannot use the built in Netflix or YouTube apps or cast from your device to the TV. You're met with an error on the TV and the staff told me there's no way to connect them to the Internet. Your only choice for TV is coaxial cable that's 480i and it's like watching TV in the 90s again. It's something I find baffling to see in a 5 Star hotel in 2024. Some cheap TCL smart TVs that are allowed to access the Internet would go a long way.

Charged an extra 10k peso(double room rate) to add 1 cheap bed / mattress to the room. Other than this, it is large overall and quite well maintained but getting duped on check-in seriously soured what should have been a good experience. Buyer beware

The hotel is great, the service is excellent, the rooms are very clean and comfortable. We were greeted and assisted right as soon as we got to the lobby. That is first class service right there, with warm Filipino hospitality. Loved this. Spa: really good service and relaxing ambience. The shower area and amenties were great. Not a lot of people so we were able to really relax and enjoy here. Poolside: The kids loved this! Pool was big and slide were great. There was an area near the pool restaurant that had a lot of debris from trees and small trash. Quite uncomfortable to see, especially weird that someone was going around removing debris from the pool but seem to ignore this part? Not something you expect to see in a 5-star hotel pool. Spirals: breakfast options are great here, there is more than one egg station so you dont have to wait long for your custom egg order. Lots of bread options. Cheese room is great. If you go for Sunday Brunch, there's even more options that are really good, though the price is very high. Servers are very helpful and quick to assist. Poolside restaurant: Not great. We ordered three dishes and four drinks, we were not impressed with any of them. Drinks were watery, food bland or not warm. We ordered mais con yelo (corn with ice, milk and sugar) as a refreshing snack by the pool and we were embarrassed than foreigners will think this is how Filipinos serve mais con yelo. I've had creamier, better tasting ones from street vendors, seriously. It was watery, bland and barely had corn. Please dont serve Filipino dishes if you cannot do it well. Sportsbar: reeked of cigarette smoke. Couldnt stay for long. I'm sure others liked it, but not us. Room service (food): Excellent. Food was delicious and arrived not too long after ordering and was still hot/warm. Loved this. Club Millesime: snacks and cocktail options were quite good. I'm glad we tried the club room so we were able to try this. Wine selection were good also for different palates. Great place, food and service.

The hotel is exceptional. It was our third time and it is one of our favorite hotel through the years. For the staff, excellent service, efficient and nice. Special mention to Ms. Shainah for being so accomodating, attentive, nice and so patient to my queries, and also to Jarbies from the concierge. Food was good and great value for money.
