My husband and I loved our stay at Quimby. We had a small, simple cabin for two near the lodge, which was very comfortable. Other cabins are larger, many with kitchenettes, and accommodate families. We chose the european meal plan and had breakfast and dinner at the lodge. On fridays, weather permitting, they have an all-you-can-eat lobster buffet next to... More

We wanted to have a wedding at a place where as much of the family could join us as possible -- and also not have to worry about finding restaurants for 40 people, etc... A friend recommended Quimby's and we completely loved every part of the long weekend. Ray, the manager, was helpful, gracious and completely professional. We were in... More

My dad was brought up to Averill Lake since 1947. Later on when he had a family of his own he took my brother in 1977 than every year until I was born in 1981.We had spent the next decade plus. Going every summer to Quimby's lodge for "fancy" dinning and the always famous lobster picnics. We just looked at... More

Quimby's has been around for well over 100 years perched on a plataeu in the northeastern most nook of Vermont amidst beautiful, deep lakes, the Connecticut River, and mountains. It is peaceful, charming, well-cared for, and steeped in history. My wife and I have been going up to Quimby's for about 9 years both in the spring or fall seasons... More

and I am never disappointed with my visits... spring, summer and autumn are just wonderful. The flower gardens and the hummingbirds are always so wonderful to watch. The food in the restaurant is always very fresh although the pace of the service can be a bit "relaxed" but this is a leisure resort. The best part of Quimby's are the... More

Visiting Quimby's has been a part of my life for almost 40 years. To this day, when I close my eyes and let my mind and memory take me to the most peaceful place I have ever visited it always puts me with a fly rod in a row boat on Quimby’s Forest Pond. Bald eagles circling, Moose having a... More

My husband and I stayed at Quimby's for a quiet weekend away from the city and that was exactly what we got! We fished the Little Averill and saw the loons nesting right outside our door. The porch offers a nice relaxing place to enjoy the morning coffee and we loved the proximity to some of the best fishing in... More

We loved Quimby Country. The rustic cottages are just what the doctor ordered for anyone looking to get away from it all. The food in the restaurant was excellent, and the service from the staff was second to none. It is an idyllic spot, with tons of charm. Swith off the cell phone and blackberry, prepare for some nice boating,... More

If you truly want to get away from the hustle and bustle, but still want your creature comforts, then definitely go to the Quimby Country Lodge. I recently spent two nights there and truly enjoyed it. The Lodge is two miles off of the main road a stone's throw from the Canadian border in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. All... More
