The rooms are not at all plush, although they are large by Japanese standards. What you are paying for is the ocean view, which is lovely. It's not a quiet beach view, though, which is what I was led to expect by other reviews and the hotel's website. Instead, you overlook the train tracks and a well-traveled street, and then... More

We spent two nights at the Prince and loved every bit of it. The rooms are simple, very elegant and extremely clean. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was adequate in size and spotless. The best thing about the room, actually, about this hotel, is the view. From your room you see the ocean, Enoshima and its island... More

We were on our way from Hakone to Tokyo, taking a detour to visit Kamakura and sites along the Enodin Line (the rides along the Enodin is an attraction by itself). The hotel is beautiful, clean, with great views, has a grand reception area and a hugh outdoor swimming pool, together with all the Japanese perfections! The elevator connecting the... More

great place to stay, except two things: a bit expensive and right next to a busy street. The location at the beach makes up for it, though. More

I had a great time here. We only stayed for one night but it was gorgeous and we had a view of the pool with the ocean right behind it. It was a wonderful hotel. More

The area is easily accessible by one day trip from Tokyo, but we decided to stay 3 nights to deeply explore it. The hotel was indeed right for this purpose. It was so much fun to visit historical monuments and streets of Kamakura by small charming Enoden trains. Kamakura is full of trees once stepped out from the central area... More

Cannot say enough good things about the Kamakura Prince. This is up to the standard of a California resort hotel someplace like Huntington Beach. Rooms are large, comfortable and gracious, bathrooms huge and inviting, beds very, very restful. The hotel is located some distance from the city center on a little electric train line that is itself a tourist attraction.... More

This hotel has stunning views of the ocean, beautiful building design and friendly staff. The bathroom huge with glass shower, big tub and fully tiled including a warmed toilet seat. The building is wonderful The food however was ridiculous. The lounge has sandwiches the size of my fist for $15 with mystery meat and nothing a westerner can consider for... More

Well, a ten minute walk from the station is fine if it is FLAT, but there is a really steep hill in between you and the hotel. It is a bit isolated from other restaurants/bars/shopping. The rooms are quite big for Japanese standards. The view is great, and the eagles soaring round add to the pleasant seaside atmosphere. The French... More

I stayed at this hotel as a base for a conference so it was out of ease not necessarily choice. The hotel is set on a hill overlooking the beach and with views over Mount Fuji. The room seemed to be large for Japan with full length windows with the views (that is if Mount Fuji emerges from the clouds).... More
