We stayed 3 nights in the Tropical in all, top and tailing a boat trip as with many other people. We stayed in 2 different rooms and it does seem that some have been more recently renovated than others, so maybe worth asking when booking for one of the renovated rooms, but both were perfectly comfortable although bathrooms a little... Tropical Hotel is very well located and offer a lot of attractions to Amazon Forest. If you intent to expend most of your time outside, or by business, its ok. But if you like resorts with amenities, good bed, nice shower, tv... please try to find another option.

Hotel was adequate for a one-night stay (part of Brendan vacations Amazon add-on). Actually a beautiful resort from about 50 years ago. Only complaint is rooms need renovating. But lovely grounds. Very nice overall. Dinner buffet was excellent.
