Very particular hostel in the centre of Salvador. The street around are really noising but it's ok if you want to live the city spirit. 2 small bathrooms and only 1 shower with hot water. free internet. normal breakfast with good handmade juices.

There are always great people to meet as other guests. The rooms are artsy and clean, and the best part is you are right in the middle of the cultural center... More

Salvador doesn´t seem to be the easiest place to find somewhere decent to stay at a reasonable price, Hostel Cobreu isn´t going to change that anytime soon. I stayed here with a friend, and then again when travelling solo. The hostel is clean and comfortable and the hostel staff are very friendly and EXTREMELY helpful (helping us make calls in Portugese-which I don't speak, looking up times and fares for various travel options, advising about places to go (and not to go), where to eat, nightlife, etc)....
