The breakfast is great with a very nice view from Salvador. My room has no sea view and it was very noisy. The fridge was not working properly and there was a leaking in the bathroom. The air conditioning was old and noisy. I stayed over for a night so it was ok but I wouldn´t recommend for those who... More

Despite its great location (both for business and leisure, since it's close to downtown offices, all major tourism attactions and the best restaurants and bars - bahia marina, not to be missed), the 1970s decor, old bathrooms and overall state is just sad. Small pool with a great view though. Breakfast is also good - do not miss their tapiocas.... More

This is one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at. This trip to Salvador started all wrong, from the girl at the information desk in the airport pointing us to a scam taxi driver that slept while driving (her boyfriend, he later admitted). Extremely dangerous, and since the airport is a very long ride from downtown Salvador, we were... More

Halfway between the Farol da Barra and Pelourinho, this hotel has a great breakfast, a good pool with beautiful views and a bar on his pier, which can be reached via an exclusive cable car from the hotel. The service seemed reasonable and the rooms need to be modernized and improved in the cleanliness. More

Near to Pelorinho, this hotel trades on location and maybe legacy. Spacious rooms with ocean rooms also help. I stayed here twice in one week for a total of 3 nights. The staff are unmotivated and clearly dislike their jobs. Their English language skills are a little weak. I was left waiting to pick up a room key for 7... More

Would not recommend this hotel. The staff at reception were surly and hardly spoke english.Could not turn off or down the the airconditioning. The lock on the safe broken, but was mended within 1 hour. Electrical switch cover in bathroom came off. Smelly towels. Poly sheets and lumpy foam pillows. Neighbourhood dodgy. The only good thing were the waitresses who... More

It is a pitty that this hotel is so old and that they did not renew it. The rooms are old, the air-conditioning makes a lot of noise and almost everything looks like it did not get any maintenance for over 20 years. But, it has the perfect location, the rooms (seaside only) have the most incredible few you can... More

The Sol Victoria Marina was recommended to me for a five-day-stay in Salvador from a travel agent in Rio. Despite the negative reviews here I booked the hotel and was looking forward to some relaxed days at the poolside. The disappointment started when I checked in: No word of welcome, a grumpy female receptionist just asked for "Passport?", then slammed... More

I stayed at the hotel for 6 nights. The room was OK and clean when I arrived although the refrigerator hadn't been defrosted for quite a while and some lamps were not working. I arrived at the hotel at noon time, filled out the registration and got the key to the room 3 hours later. Only the management and girls... More

Probably Salvador doesn't have too many high level hotels with avarage precises, so I would say that in this range of precise is quite good. The rooms, altough clean, are old as the whole hotel. As in other hotels in Brasil, this hotel seemed to be very good in middle 80's, but i freezed there. Breakfast is acceptable. The position... More
