The room was beautiful and big, with a nice bathroom and kitchen, and a view over an old historical church. The breakfast every morning was different and so delicious, but what made the stay really worth it was the conviviality and warmness of the staff, who really devote themselves to ensuring the customer has everything he needs. This small hotel is one block away from Pellorino which makes a big difference at night. Bathroom is tiny, moldy, has not hot water and shower barely dribbles water. I have no idea how this place is rated so highly. For the same price and much better location, totally brand new place, stay at Casa de Armello. More

Hotel Studio do Carmo is located on the outskirts of the old city. I would recommend asking for the room that overlooks the old church. Staff were helpful (TAM lost our luggage) but did recommend that we went to Paraguay for a day trip to buy cheap electronics which was a real waste of time. More
