We enjoyed our stay at the pousada valhacouto, it is in a good location about 5-10 minutes from the centre of the old town, but peaceful with a small pool. We moved here because we didn't like the original pousada we had booked (dos Contos) which had a much better overall rating and very positive reviews (why, I do not know!). What an improvement! I would recommend this pousada, we were a family of 5 adults we had three rooms one in main building two in annex. They can put extra beds in rooms for you if you wanted to pile in together.
