Great location and the service is wonderful. The executive lounge on 9th floor has wonderful service and snacks. Most staff speak fluent English and my room is tastefully decorated and spotless. I'd recommend this hotel. More

Stayed here for 3 nights during my honeymoon in May 2012 and was perfect ending to 2 weeks in Brazil. As others mentioned it is expensive but you are paying for a great location and the best service you can get in Rio (without the stuffiness of Copacabana Palace). After all Rio does not have many 5* hotel options. The... More

It's hard to complain when you get your room for free with points and we were "upgraded" to a room with a view of the beach, but there's little else to commend this hotel. The room was not much bigger than a cabana and the bathroom was also small. The executive lounge was nice and we enjoyed having breakfast there.... More

Great location, great gym and pool. Rooms are nice but not very spacious, Can't understand why most of the rooms have an internal view. You will only get a view if you stay in one of the beach front ones, which are more expensive. Service is good as well as the breakfast. Reccomend this hotel if you are willing to... More

The JW Marriott is located in the center of Copacabana Beach, so if you are looking for a property on Copacabana, this is about the best choice. I have always stayed at the Othon Palace a few blocks down and decided t try the JW Marriott, If you are in a city with a beach as beautiful as Copacabana, you... More

Stayed here for 1 night 450 dollar and what a dirty place. Great location but hotel needs a facelift very urgent, if I would be part of the Marriott leadership team I would take the name of the front of the hotel!!!! Never again More

I have stayed over at the hotel a few times. I have to confess that the location is good, but not the best. Personally the best feature of this hotel is the roof top pool and gym. You do not only get fantastic views of Copacabana bay, but the pool is a decent size for a rooftop. The hotel itself... More

Overpriced is an understatement: Rooms are very, very small, the bathroom barely fits one person, and many rooms don't even have a view. In general, the hotel looks tired.... It's just not worth $600 a night. We traveled with a kid and that was a mistake, the entrance to the room is very narrow, there is no space for an... More

Chose Marriott for the view but would look furthe as the great view from a small room was visable only when you were standing by the smallish window as all the chairs in the room put you below eyelevel to look out at the beach. hoping to be able to lie in bed and see the scene. The service was... More

We loved visiting Rio but unfortunately the cruiseline we were sailing with put us up in a small dungeon-like room at this hotel. It's window looked out into the center of the hotel - weird! And to top it off, they had lost our reservation so kept us standing at the reservation desk for an hour while they got it... More
