“Great Hotel on Copacabana Beach!”

Perfectly situated on Copacabana, it's convenient to Ipanema Beach and Sugarloaf Mountain. Nice little neighborhood and easy strolling to night markets. Rooms are very nice and a great spread for breakfast - also with great views. Rooftop pool overlooks beach as well as up to Christ the Redeemer.

“Not worth the price”

Couldn't afford the copacabana so went for a hotel with a high rating even though still expensive. Hotel was a 3 star at best. Rooms are old and dated. Bathrooms small with fading paint, dingy bathtubs. Wife wouldn't use for a bath. Hallway with was dark with low ceiling and smelly. Front desk was very pleasant, nice and helpful however... More

The Porto Bay is worth every penny. This is a boutique-style hotel, right on the beach and with exemplary service. Our room had expansive views of Copacabana.
