A good choice if you want to save some money (still is expensive for what it is). The area seems safe and quiet. The rooms are pretty big and has a sauna in the bathroom. Ideal for coming with your familly.

Hotel in a good location in a quiet and safe neighborhood, a few blocks from the beach. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms quite large,ordinary equipped, clean and tidy. I don't have a great comparison for hotels in Rio and was there during Carnival, but I have to think there are better options. Everything was a bit antiquated, but the rooms were generally clean. I have stayed in the hotel during the carnival 2013. The reception lady was very kind and after asking for a nice room we have been given one on the 10th floor with the view on the statue. The standard is pretty low, especially as it's advertised as 4* hotel. I certainly would not come back, but there are apparently no hotels which are priced reasonable in Rio :-( Only good thing is the location which is pretty close to the Copacabana.

We staid during New Year celebration. All hotels in Copacabana was too expensive compare to their real value. Compare to others it had quite good price. But we overpaid, totally!!! Good for sleeping during the night, nothing more. Never return there. Unfriendly and unhelpful staff.
