Good location, nice little restaurants around, the beach is 5 minutes walk, good public transport connections. Basic room, air conditiong very loud. Rooftop swimming pool is very small, but has a great view. Nice staff and very good breakfast. I would recommend for a short stay in Rio. More

We stayed here during Carnevale and found the hotel very convenient to the beaches, particularly Copacabana but also walking distance to Ipanema. Also handy to Sugarloaf and easy access to the metro. It is not a new hotel but our room was very clean and spacious. The staff were very helpful and spoke English well. We would stay there again.... More

Mwah, what can I say. Great location if you're in Rio to enjoy the beach. Probably adequate if you're in town on leisure and you don't require a whole lot. Being there on business, I prefer a more comfortable business type room and less noise. The night I arrived after a long international flight, there were some guys at the... More

this is not a four star...maybe a two. rooms very tired. bathrooms need major upgrade. mould on bathroom tiles. metal cover over shower drain broken and swivelled around. curtains dont even cover the window. tv would work sometimes, you would have to 'jiggle' the switch on the head board several times! balcony, well, what we called our private pool in... I've said it before and I'll say it again - what is the point of the stars system? Totally misleading for customers. This place is NOT a 4 stars hotel, in any way useful to a customer. Yes, it has a (tiny) pool, but that is not enough to rate it 4 stars. The rooms are beyond basic. In UK... More

Arriving at The Augusto’s, gives you that gratifying feeling of luxury, being welcomed by service minded porters opening doors, carrying luggage and makes for a smooth check-in in the light and elegant lobby. The rest of the hotel doesn’t quite follow suit, and even though the rooms are fairly sized they would benefit from just a bit of that nice... More

This hotel is in a great location - literally 5 minutes walk from the famous Copacabana Beach. We stayed here for three nights at the end of a month long South American trip. We also began our trip in Rio - but at the beginning we stayed for five nights in Santa Teresa - a better, more unique, less touristy... More

The strengths of this hotel are its location and the helpful staff at the reception desk. As this was our first visit to Rio we had a lot of questions and the staff answered them all. They seemed to want to help you and went beyond just answering our questions by adding other info they thought would be useful. The... More

What a rip off. I booked a room only to arrive to find out they charge an extra fee for my wife. The room was motel quality (or lack of quality). They also keep the room key card when you leave. I recommend not staying in Copacabana at all. A great value in Rio is the Guesthouse Bianca, a luxurious... More
