Probably ok for business and conferences. Far from homely and nice. Overpriced and a bit run down.

We stayed for two nights and used it as a base for la Serena - Coquimbo. Great location near the plaza de armas and the centre of la Serena. Across from the park and near all transportation. We took advantage of the free underground parking.
The rooms were adequate and the bathroom was renovated even in our ¨Normal¨room. Each room...

The difficulty with reviewing this hotel is that there is such a difference between the Superior rooms and the Normal rooms. The Superior rooms are newly remodeled with wood floors, great showers, lots of light and simply have that new modern feel. They deserve a 4.5 star rating. The Normal rooms, which are less expensive, are in the older part...

The location of the hotel is good, but have small rooms, the bathrooms were not very clean, if you want to get dress in the bathroom, you aren't going to have problems
Is good people who travel in bussines and is going to stay only 1 or 2 day, is not for tourist.

My room was tiny, the wardrobe door was broken and couldn't open, the bathroom wasn't big enough to get dressed in, the toilet broke and the breakfast was poor. However, the hotel is superbly located, next to the plaza de armas, there's free internet and it was clean. For a short trip where you only sleep in the hotel, it's...

Yes, they are doing some construction. But other than some noise (after 8am and quiet before bedtime), the place was really quite nice. The rooms are clean. The bathrooms are tiny (but this is throughout Chile). The pool was nice as the sun was shining and just to relax in the quiet was good. It's right around the corner from...

We took the room because only this and one other hotel had a vacancy on the date we needed, and expected not much because of the unfavorable reviews. We found it to be perfectly fine - nice, clean rooms, very comfortable, dining room with no one much else eating there, friendly staff. It turned out to be ideally located to...

The rooms in this hotel are incredibly small for the price. I paid over $100 and the bed was not steady. The bathroom was not even large enough to dress in. The only thing you pay for is a large lobby and a good breakfast. I had to sit in the hallway to do my work on their wireless system...

I am puzzled by the review from 2007 as there was no sign of any refurbishment. Indeed refurbishment is just what it needs. Overall service was OK and the rooms were quite large, but everything is a bit shabby and past it. Only stayed 1 night and found the restaurant cavernous and lacking in any atmosphere.

This hotel is currently undergoing major renovation work, which my travel agent, Aquamotion, failed to tell me. A new wing is being built at the front and extensive refurbishment is going on in the other wing. Cement mixers, jackhammers, the full works. I would estimate that there are at least another 9 months to go before it is habitable if...
